Review Meta AnalysisPsychometric properties of 2-minute walk test: a systematic review.
To systematically review the psychometric evidence on the 2-minute walk test (2MWT). ⋯ There is inadequate breadth and depth of psychometric evidence of the 2MWT for clinical and research purposes-specifically, minimal clinically important changes and responsiveness. More good-quality studies are needed, especially in the pediatric population. Consensus on standardized testing procedures of the 2MWT is also required.

Review Meta AnalysisEffectiveness of aquatic exercise for musculoskeletal conditions: a meta-analysis.
To investigate the effectiveness of aquatic exercise in the management of musculoskeletal conditions. ⋯ The evidence suggests that aquatic exercise has moderate beneficial effects on pain, physical function, and quality of life in adults with musculoskeletal conditions. These benefits appear comparable across conditions and with those achieved with land-based exercise. Further research is needed to understand the characteristics of aquatic exercise programs that provide the most benefit.

Randomized Controlled TrialImpact of resistance training in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients during periods of acute exacerbation.
To evaluate the effects of whole-body resistance training on exercise capacity, health-related quality of life (HRQOL), and muscle strength in patients hospitalized for exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. ⋯ Our results suggest that resistance training during hospitalization improves the 6MWD, HRQOL, and lower-limb muscle strength, without altering the levels of systemic inflammation. However, future research should explore this intervention in larger randomized trials.

Derivation of a clinical decision guide in the diagnosis of cervical facet joint pain.
To derive a clinical decision guide (CDG) to identify patients best suited for cervical diagnostic facet joint blocks. ⋯ MSE, PST, and ER may be useful tests in identifying patients suitable for diagnostic facet joint blocks. Further research is needed to validate the CDGs prior to their routine use in clinical practice.

Clinical TrialHandgrip strength but not appendicular lean mass is an independent predictor of functional outcome in hip-fracture women: a short-term prospective study.
To investigate the contribution of muscle mass and handgrip strength in predicting the functional outcome after hip fracture in women. ⋯ Grip strength, but not DXA-assessed aLM, significantly predicted short-term functional outcome in women after a hip fracture.
