Comparative Study
Comparison of perioperative outcomes between endoscope-assisted technique and handheld acoustic Doppler for perforator identification in fasciocutaneous flaps.
The endoscopic technique has been utilized to harvest muscle flaps and detect perforators of fasciocutaneous flaps. This study aimed to compare the perioperative outcomes between the endoscope-assisted technique and handheld acoustic Doppler for perforator identification in fasciocutaneous flaps. This retrospective case-control study included patients who underwent fasciocutaneous flap reconstruction for traumatic soft tissue defects. ⋯ The case group had a longer operative time, but the difference was not statistically significant (180 minutes vs 150 minutes, P = .367). The amount of blood loss, the time length of postoperative drainage, and complications did not significantly differ between the 2 groups. The endoscope-assisted technique for perforator identification of fasciocutaneous flaps provided less donor-site morbidity and a significantly shorter length of donor-site wounds than the conventional handheld acoustic Doppler, which suggests that this technique could be a valuable alternative when a precise design is indicated.

Rhabdomyolysis following status epilepticus with hyperuricemia: A case report and literature review.
Rhabdomyolysis owing to status epilepticus (SE) can be life-threating, with acute kidney injury (AKI) the most serious complication; therefore, early recognition of the risk factors is important. Hyperuricemia after epileptic seizures has been reported, and severe hyperuricemia can lead to acute renal function damage. ⋯ Hyperuricemia after SE might indicate severe muscle damage or reduced clearance of metabolites, and could be a risk factor for kidney dysfunction, especially with rhabdomyolysis. To our knowledge, this is the first report of rhabdomyolysis following SE with hyperuricemia.

Chordomas are malignant neoplasms derived from incomplete regression of notochordal tissue along the craniococcygeal axis.It is rare for Chordoma arising from the lumbar spine and the traditional long-term prognosis is typically poor. ⋯ So It is suggest that the diagnosis should be carried out accurately at the early stage, the lesions and source of lesions should be cut away as broadly as possible, also the radiation and chemotherapy should be carried out after the operation as necessary.

Endoscopic resection of a giant colonic lipoma with endoloop-assisted unroofing technique: A case report.
Colonic lipomas are uncommon benign submucosal adipose tumorsthat are usually asymptomatic. Large lipomas can cause symptoms require treatment in principle. We report 1 case of giant colonic lipoma removed with endoloop-assisted unroofing technique instead of conventional surgical bowel resection. ⋯ Endoscopic resection with endoloop-assisted unroofing technique remains a viable option for giant lipomas; however, postoperative intestinal obstruction caused by shedding mass should be noted.

IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a chronic fibro-inflammatory disorder which is characterized by elevated levels of serum IgG4 and infiltration of IgG4-bearing plasma cells in the involved organs. Primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) and Primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS) are both distinct from IgG4-related disease. We herein describe a Chinese patient with IgG4-related RPF overlapping with PBC and pSS. ⋯ This rare clinical condition has seldom been reported in the literature, which suggests that common immunogenetic factors may be involved in the development of IgG-related RPF, PBC and pSS.
