Review Meta Analysis
A meta-analysis of the relationship between environmental tobacco smoke and lung cancer risk of nonsmoker in China.
To investigate the association between exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (EVT) and the incidence of lung cancer (LC) in nonsmoking adults. ⋯ EVT exposure is prospectively associated with a significantly increased risk of LC incidence. More high quality studies are required to address the association between EVT exposure and LC incidence.

Review Meta Analysis
ENPP1 K121Q (rs1044498 C > A) genetic polymorphism confers a high risk of susceptibility to coronary heart disease: A PRISMA-compliant article.
Previous studies suggested an association between K121Q (rs1044498 C > A) in ecto-nucleotide pyrophosphatase phosphodiesterase 1 (ENPP1) gene and the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD), but the results have been inconsistent. In this study, we performed a meta-analysis of several trials to systematically summarize their potential association. ⋯ Our meta-analysis revealed that the K121Q (rs1044498 C > A) in the ENPP1 gene is a risk factor for CHD.

Review Case Reports
Right atrial epithelioid angiosarcoma with multiple pulmonary metastasis confirmed by multimodality imaging-guided pulmonary biopsy: A case report and literature review.
Primary cardiac tumors are very rare, and angiosarcoma accounts for about 33% of all primary malignant cardiac tumors. Primary cardiac epithelioid angiosarcoma is a highly aggressive and difficult to diagnose tumor, with early systemic metastasis and poor prognosis. ⋯ Primary angiosarcoma of heart is a very rare and aggressive disease, and its diagnosis and treatment are difficult. Most patients may have systemic metastasis at diagnosis, and have a very short survival without surgical resection. Hence, early diagnosis and surgical resection is extremely important to treat this disease.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common cancers and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men worldwide. Surgical resection of HCC remains the mainstay treatment procedure. As a result of hepatitis viral infection, the postoperative survival outcome in patients with HCC is not satisfactory. Recently, studies have reported that due to its treatment effect on hepatitis infection, pegylated interferon (Peg-IFN)-based therapy could improve the survival outcome after the treatment of hepatitis-related HCC. However, the postoperative effect of this regimen on the survival outcomes in patients with hepatitis-related HCC remains debatable. The present study conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the effects of adjuvant Peg-IFN-based therapy on the survival outcomes in patients with hepatitis-related HCC after the curative treatment. ⋯ Adjuvant Peg-IFN-based therapy could improve the RFS and OS outcomes in patients after curative treatment of hepatitis-related HCC, with no severe adverse effects.

Review Case Reports
Perianal Paget disease treated with wide excision and thigh skin flap reconstruction: a case report and review of literature.
Extramammary Peget disease (EMPD) is a rare tumor, which typically occurs in the perianal regions. Perianal Paget disease (PPD) was first reported in 1893, and which has only 180 cases that have been reported in literature. The rarity of the disease means that no large studies have been made, and so the optimal treatment for this disease still remains controversial. ⋯ PPD is a rare disorder; the current knowledge on diagnose and treatment is based on small case series. Thus, it is complicated to elaborate a consensus on diagnostic and treatment guidelines. Wide local excision remains the treatment of choice with a variety of adjuvant therapies. Our method has an advantage which is the posterior thigh flap could be designed in accordance with the defect of the perianal. It is mandatory that the patient must accept a long-term follow-up to detect local recurrence and to distant carcinoma.
