Review Case Reports
Non-α-fetoprotein-producing adrenal hepatoid adenocarcinoma: A case report and literature review.
Adrenal hepatoid adenocarcinoma typically secretes alpha-fetoprotein (AFP). Here, we report a case of non-AFP-producing adrenal hepatoid adenocarcinoma. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) was conducted to identify gene mutations. ⋯ This case highlights the importance of thorough clinical, radiological, and immunohistochemical investigation for suspected adrenal hepatoid adenocarcinoma. Metastasis from other primary tumors should be ruled out. Furthermore, AFP is not necessarily elevated in adrenal hepatoid adenocarcinoma. NGS could be helpful in establishing the diagnosis and selecting treatments.

Review Case Reports
A broad ligament solitary fibrous tumor with Doege-Potter syndrome.
Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) are uncommon mesenchymal neoplasms and are particularly rare in the female genital tract. Doege-Potter syndrome is a paraneoplastic syndrome involving SFT-associated hypoglycemia. We report, for the first time, on a broad ligament SFT with Doege-Potter syndrome; additionally, we review 30 cases of women with SFTs reported in the literature. ⋯ Even though it is extremely rare, SFT should be quickly identified to prevent undue treatment delay and avoid unnecessary examination; surgery and long-term follow-up are recommended. SFT can be considered a highly invasive cancer, and intraoperative bleeding may occur. Although no correlation between adjuvant therapy and improved prognosis was found, further studies are required because of the small number of cases reported to date.

Calcified peripancreatic lymph nodes in pancreatic and hepatic tuberculosis mimicking pancreatic malignancy: A case report and review of literature.
Tuberculosis remains a serious menace to the health of people. Isolated hepatic tuberculosis is rare and pancreatic tuberculosis is extremely rare. The preoperative diagnosis of pancreatic tuberculosis remains a great challenge. ⋯ Our data hint that calcifications in both pancreatic lesions and peripancreatic lymph nodes may suggest pancreatic tuberculosis rather than pancreatic malignancy.

Meta Analysis
Endothelial nitric oxide synthase (-786T>C) polymorphism and migraine susceptibility: A meta-analysis.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation between endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) polymorphism (-786T>C) and migraine susceptibility in a meta-analysis. ⋯ This meta-analysis indicated that CC variant increases the risk for migraine compared with TT + TC genotypes in Caucasian populations.

Although many studies have investigated the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in transforming growth factor beta1 (TGF-β1) gene with pulmonary fibrosis (PF), but their association is still controversial. To clarify this, we performed a meta-analysis. Studies related to TGF-β1 and PF were retrieved from PubMed, Medline, Embase, Scopus, and Wanfang (up to November 30, 2017). ⋯ Overall, no significant association between TGF-β1 rs1800470 and PF was found (T vs C: OR [95% CI] = 0.96 [0.80, 1.15]; TT vs CC: 0.87 [0.61, 1.22]; TT vs TC + CC: 0.80 [0.62, 1.04]; TT + TC vs CC: 1.13 [0.83, 1.54]). In subgroup analyses by ethnicity or original disease, no statistically significant association between TGF-β1 rs1800470 polymorphisms and PF was demonstrated. This meta-analysis revealed that TGF-β1 rs1800470 polymorphism was not associated with susceptibility to PF development.
