Thread-embedding acupuncture for lumbar herniated intervertebral disc: Protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Lumbar herniated intervertebral disc (LHIVD) is a frequent disease among patients attending Korean medicine hospitals, and it is associated with considerable medical expenses for the patients. Although several recent randomized clinical trials (RCTs) have reported that thread-embedding acupuncture (TEA) has a more favorable therapeutic effect on LHIVD than other types of acupuncture or other treatments, the evidence remains limited because these trials used poor assessment methods and had a high risk of bias. This study aims to evaluate the evidence for the effectiveness and safety of TEA for LHIVD. In this article, we describe our methods and plan for a systematic review. ⋯ Ethical approval is not necessary as this paper does not involve patient data. The review will be published in a peer-reviewed journal or presented in a conference.

Effectiveness comparisons of Chinese patent medicine on treating premature ejaculation: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Premature ejaculation (PE) is a form of male sexual dysfunction. As people's lifestyle changes and the population ages, the incidence of PE continues to increase. Chinese patent medicines have been widely used in clinical practice as derivatives of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Many clinical trials have proven that Chinese patent medicine has a significant effect in the treatment of PE. In this systematic review, we aim to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Chinese patent medicine for PE. ⋯ This systematic review will evaluate the efficacy and safety of TCM for treating PE. Because all of the data used in this systematic review and meta-analysis have been published, this review does not require ethical approval. Furthermore, all data will be analyzed anonymously during the review process Trial.

Effect of Yiqi Huayu Jiedu decoction on stages II and III gastric cancer: A multicenter, prospective, cohort study.
This study aimed to explore the effect of YHJD (Yiqi Huayu Jiedu decoction) in patients with stages II and III gastric cancer. ⋯ YHJD decoction is effective in improving DFS rate in patients with gastric cancer stage III after radical gastrectomy. Moreover, it can reduce the risk of recurrence and metastasis and improve the quality of life in patients with gastric cancer stage II or III after radical gastrectomy.

Effectiveness of continuous adductor canal block versus continuous femoral nerve block in patients with total knee arthroplasty: A PRISMA guided systematic review and meta-analysis.
This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of continuous adductor canal block (CACB) versus continuous femoral nerve block (CFNB) in postoperative analgesia and early rehabilitation of patients with total knee arthroplasty (TKA). ⋯ The analgesic effects of CACB versus CFNB are equivalent after TKA. CACB has less effect on the quadriceps muscle strength, which is beneficial to the early postoperative activities and functional rehabilitation.

Carbetocin vs oxytocin for prevention of postpartum hemorrhage after vaginal delivery: A meta-analysis.
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of carbetocin for prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in women undergoing vaginal delivery compared with oxytocin. ⋯ This meta-analysis showed that carbetocin was as effective and safe as oxytocin for prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in women undergoing vaginal delivery, and the choice of carbetocin for routine prophylaxis will depend on cost-effectiveness.
