Dysregulated circular RNAs have been implicated in the pathogenesis of cancer. Recent studies indicate that has_circ_0001649 lowly expressed in multiple types of cancer. The purpose of this study is to investigate the roles of has_circ_0001649 as a diagnostic and prognostic marker for Chinese patients with cancer. ⋯ Has_circ_0001649 could be used as a potential biomarker for diagnosis and prognosis in solid cancer. Further prospective studies are required to validate its clinical application.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) non-pharmaceutical therapies are frequently used for chronic insomnia in China, but in clinical practice, most practitioners choose appropriate treatments based on personal experience. In our study, Bayesian network meta-analysis will be used to identify differences in efficacy and safety between diverse non-pharmaceutical therapies for chronic adult insomnia. ⋯ The findings will be an available reference to evaluate the efficacy and safety of different non-pharmaceutical therapies on chronic insomnia in adults and may provide decision-making reference on which method to choose for clinicians.

De Quervain disease (dQD) is a painful condition of the wrist that affects patients' quality of life and work ability. Acupotomy has been widely used in the treatment of dQD. It has been reported in many articles that acupotomy can improve the clinical symptoms of dQD. However, the efficacy has not been evaluated scientifically and systematically. The aim of this systematic review protocol is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupotomy treatment compared with local steroid injection in patients with de Quervain disease. ⋯ CRD42018108786.

According to the literature reports and clinical studies on alopecia areata (AA) from 2008 to 2018, most clinical treatments have been oral drugs and external ointments. At present, systemic immunosuppressive therapy has been widely used in AA, but there are various side effects such as elevated liver enzymes, gastrointestinal discomfort, poor drug compliance, and repeated illness. We present a case report describing a traditional medicine treatment for AA that uses an ethnic therapy of Zhuang medicine, a kind of Traditional Chinese Medicine, namely, medicated thread moxibustion. ⋯ The medicated thread moxibustion method of Zhuang medicine can be an effective alternative treatment in patients with AA.
