This study aimed to examine the association between colorectal cancer and zolpidem use in Taiwan. A case-control study was conducted using the database of Taiwan National Health Insurance Program from 2000 to 2013. Participants aged 20 to 84 years with newly diagnosed colorectal cancer were selected as the cases. ⋯ The mean age was 63 years and 58% were male participants. After adjustment for co-variables, the multivariable logistic regression model disclosed that there was no statistical association between colorectal cancer and zolpidem use (adjusted OR 1.05, 95% CI 0.95-1.15). No statistical association can be detected between colorectal cancer and zolpidem use in Taiwan.

Upper limb dysfunction is one of common sequelae of stroke which limits daily activities and decreases quality of life of patients, as well as increasing caregiving burden on families. Theta burst stimulation (TBS) is considered to be a beneficial therapy for post-stroke patients with upper limb motor dysfunction, but there is a lack of a high quality evidence. We aim to investigate the effectiveness and safety of TBS for upper limb motor dysfunction in patients with stroke. ⋯ CRD42019142462.

Tai Chi exercise for sleep problems in older adults: A protocol of systematic review and meta-analysis.
Sleep plays a crucial role in the general health of the human body. However, sleep problems become increasingly severe with age, and its incidence is on the rise. Notably, Tai Chi exercise may be an efficacious means to ameliorate sleep problems among older adults. This is especially since Tai Chi has been widely used to manage sleep problems in China for many years, but there is limited evidence regarding its effectiveness. We will conduct this study aiming to investigate the efficacy of Tai Chi as a complementary and alternative therapy for sleep problems in older adults. ⋯ PEROSPERO CRD42019129782.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common disease. It affects the quality of life of both husband and wife and becomes an independent risk factor for cardiovascular events. In China, Shugan Yiyang (SGYY) capsule has been increasingly reported in clinical trials for the treatment of ED and reported inconsistent findings. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a systematic review to evaluate the efficacy and safety of this drug for the treatment of ED. ⋯ The efficacy and safety of SGYY capsule for ED will be evaluated. We will publish the results of this systematic review in peer-reviewed journals to provide new evidence to clinicians.Registration information: PROSPERO CRD42019140903.
