Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Quadratus lumborum block versus transversus abdominis plane block for postoperative pain management after laparoscopic colorectal surgery: A randomized controlled trial.
This study aimed to compare the quadratus lumborum block (QLB) method with transversus abdominis plane block (TAPB) for postoperative pain management in patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal surgery. ⋯ The QLB is a more effective postoperative analgesia as it reduces sufentanil consumption compared to TAPB in patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal surgery.

Efficacy and safety of Shenmayizhi decoction as an adjuvant treatment for vascular dementia: Study protocol for a randomized controlled trial.
Vascular dementia (VaD) is the second most common cause of dementia. The treatment of VaD still remains a challenge so far. Traditional Chinese Herbal medicine is a promising therapy due to their multiple components and targets. Shenmayizhi decoction (SMYZD), a Chinese Herbal prescription, has been reported its effective in alleviating cognitive dysfunction in clinical practice. However, strong clinical research of SMYZD in the treatment of VaD was lack. Therefore, we design this study to evaluate the adjuvant role of SMYZD in the treatment of VaD. ⋯ This study will provide evidences to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SMYZD in combination with GBEs in treatment of VaD, as well as the adjuvant role of SMYZD in combination.

Review Case Reports
Pulmonary embolism as the initial manifestation of right atrial myxoma: A case report and review of the literature.
Pulmonary embolisms (PEs) are caused by emboli, which mostly originate from deep venous thrombi that travel to and suddenly block the pulmonary arteries. The emboli are usually thrombi, and right atrial myxoma emboli are rare. ⋯ RAMs should be considered unlikely reasons for fatal pulmonary embolisms.

Meta Analysis
The relationship between exposure to particulate matter and breast cancer incidence and mortality: A meta-analysis.
Particulate matter (PM) acts as an environment pollutant and thus plays a vital role in the development of human lung cancer. Whether PM is a risk factor for breast cancer (BC) morbidity and mortality, however, is not clear. Recently, several studies have reported inconsistent results for the association between PM and BC risk. This meta-analysis examines the indefinite relationship between exposure to PM and BC morbidity and mortality. ⋯ Our study suggests that PM exposure may raise the mortality but not the morbidity of BC. Still, further studies may be necessary to confirm this finding.

Recent systematic reviews have evaluated the efficacy of sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2) inhibitors (SGLT2I) in improving glycaemic control and mortality in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. None have incorporated the most recent study or utilized the generalized pairwise modeling methodology network meta-analysis (NMA), as well as a novel bias risk assessment approach. ⋯ The result of this review will be useful informing therapeutic decisions by policy makers with regards to commissioning of diabetic care.Prospero registration number: CRD42019139708.
