Observational Study
Effect of eradicating hydrogen-forming small intestinal bacterial overgrowth with rifaximin on body weight change.
Hydrogen formed by small intestinal bacterial overgrowth in patients with non-constipated irritable bowel syndrome has an inverse relationship with obesity. However, the effect of eradicating small intestinal hydrogen-producing bacterial overgrowth on the body weight of these patients has not yet been reported. The aim of this study was to investigate body weight changes after eradicating small intestinal bacterial overgrowth with rifaximin treatment in patients with non-constipated irritable bowel syndrome. ⋯ However, there was no significant change in body weight in the other quartiles. Despite treatment with rifaximin for 12 weeks, there was no change in BMI or body weight in any group of patients with consistently positive lactulose hydrogen breath tests. Eradication of hydrogen formed by small intestinal bacterial overgrowth does not cause clinically significant changes in body weight.

Review Case Reports
Pulmonary embolism as the initial manifestation of right atrial myxoma: A case report and review of the literature.
Pulmonary embolisms (PEs) are caused by emboli, which mostly originate from deep venous thrombi that travel to and suddenly block the pulmonary arteries. The emboli are usually thrombi, and right atrial myxoma emboli are rare. ⋯ RAMs should be considered unlikely reasons for fatal pulmonary embolisms.

A Hiccup is a common disease that often occurs along with other chronic or acute conditions. At present, there is a lack of feasible therapies for hiccups, and acupuncture is a treatment method with enormous clinical practice worldwide. ⋯ This review will provide systematic evidence to summarize whether acupuncture is an effective intervention in the treatment of hiccup.

Comparative Study Observational Study
Factors predicting clinical pregnancy rate of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (a STROBE-compliant article).
The aim of this study was to investigate the factors predicting clinical pregnancy rate of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET). The data of 9960 patients receiving IVF-ET fresh cycle at our Reproductive Center from January 2009 to December 2017 were first divided into pregnant group and non-pregnant group to find the clinical pregnancy rate-related factors. According to the serum HCG levels at 36 hours and 12 hours after HCG trigger, all patients were divided into 4 groups including <50 mIU/ml, ≥50 and <100 mIU/ml, ≥100 and <200 mIU/ml, and ≥200 mIU/ml groups to know whether the HCG levels at 36 hours and 12 hours affect the pregnancy rate. ⋯ The serum estrogen (E2) level at 36 hours was significantly lower and the number of retrieved oocytes was significantly higher in the HCG ratio (36 h/12 h) >1.06 group than in the HCG ratio (36 h/12 h) <0.88 and 0.88-1.06 groups (P = .000). The serum HCG ratio (36 h/12 h) may be used as a predictor of IVF-ET clinical pregnancy rate. High clinical pregnancy rate is probably associated with E2 down-regulation in the HCG ratio (36 h/12 h) >1.06 group.
