Parkinson disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disease which affects population older than 65 years. Tremor represents one of the main symptomatic triads in PD, particularly in rest state. ⋯ We used an innovative home-made, low-cost device, able to quantify the frequency and amplitude of rest tremor and stress conditionOur results confirmed the presence of tremor during muscular effort in a significant number of patients and the influence of emotional stress. We suppose that this new device should be validated in clinical practice as a support of differential diagnosis and therapeutic management of PD patients.

Airway management using laryngeal mask airway (LMA) in a patient in a lateral decubitus position: A case report.
Airway management of patients in a lateral decubitus position (LDP), who cannot lie supine is challenging for anesthesiologists. In a previous study, laryngeal mask airway (LMA) was found to be superior to conventional endotracheal intubation in LDP. ⋯ LMA is a useful device for airway management in patients in LDP who cannot lie supine.

Successful treatment of fulminant myocarditis in an adult in emergency department: A case report.
Fulminant myocarditis (FM) has poor prognosis and the usual treatment is inotropes and symptomatic support. The initiation of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and intra-aortic balloon pumping (IABP) in the emergency department (ED) is a rare event. ⋯ The early initiation of ECMO and IABP in the ED is potentially life-saving for suitable patients with FM. It appears promising but has not yet been routinely implemented in underdeveloped and developing countries.

Medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury is a common sports injury. The damage mainly occurs in ligament fibers, but MCL avulsion fracture is extremely rare and only a few reports have been published. ⋯ Femoral attachment avulsion fracture of the MCL is in contrast to common isolated MCL injuries. Early surgical repair is advocated for the greatest benefit. Orthopedic surgeons should keep the potential complication HO in mind and develop rational strategies for HO prevention and treatment.
