Comparative Study Observational Study
Clinical application of high-resolution MRI in combination with digital subtraction angiography in the diagnosis of vertebrobasilar artery dissecting aneurysm: An observational study (STROBE compliant).
Vertebrobasilar artery dissecting aneurysm (VBA-DA) is associated with serious complications and poor prognosis in patients. High-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (HR-MRI) is a noninvasive method for the diagnosis of VBA-DA. VBA-DAs were classified according to the feature of HR-MRI in combination with digital subtraction angiography (DSA), and the clinical outcomes of different types of VBA-DAs were analyzed. ⋯ The patients with stenosis VBA-DAs had poorer clinical outcomes than classical types and better clinical outcomes than spiral and hemorrhagic types. The detection of intramural hematoma and dissection flap using HR-MRI provides basic information for the diagnosis of VBA-DA. Individualized therapeutic strategies can be designed for the treatment of VBA-DAs with different features of DSA and HR-MRI.

Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) is a common urinary system disease in the male population. Recent studies have shown that acupuncture can alleviate the pain caused by CP/CPPS to a certain extent and improve the quality of life of patients. This study used a network meta-analysis (NMA) to compare the effectiveness and safety of different forms of acupuncture on CP/CPPS. ⋯ The results of this NMA will be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal for publication.

On-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (ON-PCABG) and off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OF-PCABG) greatly affect myocardial metabolism (MCMB). However, no study has systematically explored and compared the impacts of ON-PCABG and OF-PCABG on MCMB. This study will aim to explore and to compare the effects of ON-PCABG and OF-PCABG on MCMB systematically. ⋯ PROSPERO CRD42019125381.

In recent years, with the enormous advances in the field of cardiac intervention technology, the survival rate of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) has been improved significantly. However, the risk of arrhythmias and heart failure remains very high in AMI patients for long-term prognosis. Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) is more and more used in the treatment of AMI because of its good curative effect and less side effects. The target of this research is to analyze the efficacy and safety of Astragalus (Huangqi) preparation in the treatment of AMI by meta-analysis and also to provide a better evidence for clinical practice. ⋯ CRD42019124843.

Moderate evidence exists regarding percutaneous epidural adhesiolysis (PEA) being an effective treatment for lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS). Although PEA is successfully performed using balloon-less epidural catheters, many patients with severe adhesions cannot obtain satisfactory results. Combined treatment with balloon-inflatable catheters for PEA and balloon decompression recently demonstrated sufficient pain relief and functional improvement in patients with intractable LSS. ⋯ No significant between-group differences were detected. Pain intensities and functional status improved and were maintained throughout follow-up after PEA with balloon decompression using balloon-inflatable catheters. This modality may represent a useful alternative to overcome the limitations of preexisting adhesiolysis procedures.
