Subacromial impingement syndrome (SIS) is a common clinical condition with a multifactorial etiology. Currently, there is a great variety of therapeutic exercise modalities aimed at treating SIS. Based on alterations of the glenohumeral and/or dysfunctional scapular kinematics associated with SIS, we hypothesize that the implementation of a specific exercise program with special focus on the correction of muscle deficits should be more effective than nonspecific exercises performed at home. This article describes the rationale and methods of study aimed at testing the effectiveness of specific exercise programs versus home exercises in patients with SIS. ⋯ This article reports the design of a randomized clinical trial aimed at assessing the effectiveness of a specific exercise program versus home exercises in patients with SIS.

Case Reports
Intraosseous epithelioid haemangioendothelioma of the mandible: A case report and literature review.
Epithelioid haemangioendothelioma (EHE) is a rare vascular neoplasm that primarily occurs in the soft tissues of the extremities, with "intermediate" or "borderline" malignant biological characteristics and a propensity for recurrence and metastasis. Oral cavity involvement is extremely rare, with only 5 reported cases of intraosseous EHE of the mandible. Herein, we report an additional case and review the related literature. ⋯ Intraosseous EHE of the mandible is an unpredictable lesion with a relatively benign course; however, the few reported cases of this disease do not highlight any factors that can predict the risk of locoregional recurrence or metastasis. There is also no consensus regarding the optimal treatment for intraosseous EHE; however, we recommend extensive local excision with close clinical follow-up.

Comparative Study
Effectiveness and safety of transvenous extraction of single- versus dual-coil implantable cardioverter-defibrillator leads at single-center experience.
The available literature lacks data concerning direct comparison of the effectiveness and safety of single- versus dual-coil implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) leads transvenous extraction. Certainly, additional shocking coil in superior vena cava adds to the amount of metal in the vascular system. Adhesions developing around the superior vena cava coil add to the difficulty of extraction of ICD lead if lead removal is required. ⋯ There was 1 death associated with the TLE procedure of single-coil lead. This study shows that extraction of dual-coil leads seems to be comparably safe and effective to extraction of single-coil leads. On the other hand, it requires longer fluoroscopy time and frequent utilization of advanced tools.

Controlled Clinical Trial
Simulated directed-learning in life-education intervention on the meaning of life, positive beliefs, and well-being among nursing students: A Quasi-experimental study.
Nursing educators have the responsibility to equip nursing students with knowledge about the meaning of life, positive beliefs, and well-being in order to enhance their physical, psychological, spiritual, and social health education and promotion. The purpose of this study was to explore nursing students' simulated directed-learning in a life-education intervention on the meaning of life, positive beliefs, and well-being in regard to immediate and delayed effects in improving physical, psychological, spiritual, and social health education and promotion. The method of this study was constituted a quasi-experimental design with experimental and control groups for pre-test, post-test, and post-post-test. ⋯ Frequencies, percentages, pre-test mean and SD, post-test mean and SD, post-post-test mean and SD, chi-squared test, t test, and generalized estimating equation (GEE) were employed for data analysis. Nursing students in the experimental group compared with the control group exhibited significant differences in meaning of life on the pre-post-test (β = 16.40, P < .001) and pre-post post-test (β = 25.94, P < .001), positive beliefs on the pre-post-test (β = 5.64, P < .01) and pre-post post-test (β = 9.21, P < .001), and well-being on the pre-post-test (β = 14.33, P < .001) and pre-post post-test (β = 23.68, P < .001). Nursing students in the experimental group showed a significant improvement in the simulated directed-learning with a life-education intervention on meaning of life, positive beliefs, and well-being in the immediate and delayed effects that enhanced their physical, psychological, spiritual, and social health education and promotion.
