Cases of pseudotumor complicated after THA with metal-on-metal articulation as a bearing surface have been reported. Most of the pseudotumors occurred near or inside the hip joint, and usually have similar features with the infectious condition. We herein report a case of pseudotumor with huge size in the pelvic cavity mimicking features of iliacus muscle abscess. ⋯ In patients who underwent metal-on-metal THA, pseudotumor mimicked the feature of periprosthetic infection may occur not only inside the hip joint but also in the pelvic cavity.

Relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphomas are aggressive diseases. Pralatrexate is an antimetabolite. Hereby, we are reporting a pralatrexate induced durable response in a relapsed/refractory peripheral T-Cell lymphoma patient with a history of autologous stem cell transplantation. ⋯ Pralatrexate should also be kept in mind as a treatment alternative in relapsed or refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma patients.

As one of the uncommon non-gestational choriocarcinoma, primary mediastinal choriocarcinoma is an exceeding rare, and aggressive malignancy with poor prognosis. ⋯ Male primary choriocarcinoma is an extremely rare type of malignancy. First-stage scapholunate fusion for the treatment of a chronic lunate dislocation: A case report.
Lunate dislocation is a rare injury to the wrist caused by high-energy trauma, and poor prognosis is often associated with missed initial diagnosis. To date, there is no consensus regarding an effective treatment plan for such cases. ⋯ The case study presented here provide evidence that performing an effective first-stage scapholunate fusion is recommended to achieve better therapeutic outcomes for a chronic lunate dislocation. Furthermore, this approach led to a good long-term clinical outcome in our case.

Our study investigated the association of five genes with MCI in the Xinjiang Uygur population in China. In addition, we also analyzed the association between APOE methylation and MCI. Forty-three MCI and 125 controls were included in the present study. ⋯ This study found a significant association of HMGCR rs3846662 with MCI in females independent of APOE ε4. In contrast, we revealed that the association of SIRT1 rs7895833 with MCI was dependent on with APOE ε4. We also showed that hypermethylation of APOE in MCI was independent of APOE ε4.
