It is reported that both adductor canal block (ACB) and femoral nerve block (FNB) are commonly used methods for postoperative analgesia in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Currently, no record has compared the efficacy of postoperative pain relief and the influence to quadriceps strength between them. This study aims to provide a protocol to compare the efficacy and safety between ACB and FNB for the postoperative analgesia of ACL reconstruction. ⋯ Findings of this systematic review and meta-analysis will summarize the current evidence in postoperative analgesia for ACL reconstruction and also provide implications for clinical practice.

Does cognitive-behavioral therapy reduce internet addiction? Protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy has been considered as a means for internet addiction, but its long-term effect and the impact of internet addiction types and culture are still unclear. ⋯ We will search PubMed, Web of Knowledge, Ovid Medline, Chongqing Vip Database, Wanfang, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure database. Random-effects model in comprehensive meta-analysis software will be used to conduct main meta-analysis. Cochran Q and I are be used to assess heterogeneity while funnel plots and the Egger test are used to assess publication bias. Risk of bias for each study included is assessed by using the Cochrane risk of bias tool. The primary outcome is internet addiction symptom while secondary outcomes are psychopathological symptoms, time spent online, and dropout.

Atrial septal defect (ASD) is one of the most common congenital heart diseases, with an average of 1.64 per 1000 newborns with the ASD. Empirical studies suggest that surgery should be performed early in the presence of right atrium and or right ventricular enlargement, even for asymptomatic patients. Many surgical procedures can be used to treat ASD. But which method is the best choice remains unclear. This study aims to compare the efficacy and safety of standard median sternotomy, right minithoracotomy, totally thoracoscopic surgery, percutaneous closure, transcutaneous by echocardiography, and transcutaneous by radiotherapy for ASDs in children using Bayesian network meta-analysis (NMA). ⋯ CRD42019130902.

Weight status in individuals with autism spectrum disorder: A study protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Weight status and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are rising public health concerns. An increasing number of reports indicate that individuals with ASD may have unhealthy weight status, but the evidence is mixed. To understand the weight status in individuals with ASD and provide strategies for prevention and intervention, we describe the protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis aimed at assessing the prevalence of obesity, overweight, and underweight in ASD. ⋯ PROSPERO-National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (CRD42019130790).
