Diabetic neuropathic pain (DNP) is a common complication of diabetes mellitus, it severely affects the quality of life of Diabetic patients. Acupuncture is proofed to have favorable effects in treating DNP, however, evidence needs to be gathered and interpreted. We will make a comprehensive review of clinical trials concerning acupuncture in treating DNP and do meta-analysis if possible. ⋯ INPLASY202090043.

Comparison of kinesio taping and sham taping in patients with chronic low back pain: A protocol of randomized controlled trial.
Chronic low back pain (CLBP) is a clinical condition characterized by moderate to severe pain in the lower spine that severely affects the patient's life experience and leads to disability and absenteeism. In the past few years, kinesio tape (KT) have been utilized by physiotherapists as a relatively novel band-aid method to reduce the pain of musculoskeletal disorders. Therefore, in this particular study, we intended to search the effects of KT and sham KT on pain, lumbar range of motion, and disability for CLBP. ⋯ The results of this study will provide new information about the usefulness of KT as an additional component of a guideline-endorsed physiotherapy program in patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain.

Primary dysmenorrhea (PD), also regarded as functional dysmenorrhea, refers to dysmenorrhea without obvious organic lesions in the reproductive system. It accounts for more than 90% of dysmenorrhea and seriously affects womens life and work. Previous studies have proved that acupoint catgut embedding therapy is effective and safe for PD patients. It could relieve the pain rapidly and work for a long time in multiple mechanisms. This protocol aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupoint catgut embedding therapy on PD systematically. With the latest published evidence, a systematic review and meta-analysis of catgut embedding for patients with PD would be carried out in this study. ⋯ CRD42020156362.

Lipodermatosclerosis (LDS) is a severe skin change accompanied by the development of chronic venous disease of the lower extremities. Its main clinical manifestations are erythema, induration, hyperpigmentation, and rough and thickened skin. It may also eventually lead to refractory ulcers, skin necrosis and even cancer. Conventional treatment methods mainly include the intake of oral anabolic hormones or androgen and pressure therapy. However, patients often refuse due to their drug resistance and intolerance. As a clinical irreplaceable treatment method for LDS, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has not been compared of the safety and effectiveness so far. Therefore, we cannot wait to use a method to compare the efficacy of TCM for LDS systematically, such as network meta-analysis (NMA). ⋯ This study provide a reliable theoretical basis for the clinical application of TCM in the treatment of LDS, and contribute to the formulation of treatment guidelines for LDS.
