Dynamic Change in Serum Alpha-fetoprotein Level Predicts Treatment Response and Prognosis of Alpha-fetoprotein-producing Gastric Cancer.
Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP)-producing gastric cancer (AFPGC) is rare and associated with a suboptimal prognosis. The aim of this retrospective study was to identify prognostic factors, with a particular focus on the dynamics of serum AFP levels during treatment, in AFPGC patients. Data of patients with pathologically diagnosed primary gastric cancer treated with various modalities electronically collected in the medical management systems of 2 hospitals (ie, Shihezi People's Hospital and Shihezi Hospital) in Shihezi city, northwest China, from January 2007 to October 2018 were reviewed. ⋯ On univariate and multivariate analyses, tumor, node, metastasis staging classification stage, liver metastasis, curable surgery, and the decline in the serum AFP level were associated with OS and PFS. A significant decline in the serum AFP level was associated with good treatment response and prognosis in AFPGC. Along with a decline in the serum AFP level, tumor, node, metastasis staging classification stage, liver metastasis, and curable surgery were also independent factors associated with prognosis.

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a kind of degenerative osteoarthropathy, which causes joint pain and limited mobility, seriously affects the quality of life of the patient. Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture and moxibustion has been widely used to treat KOA, and acupoint injection is 1 of the acupuncture treatment methods. The purpose of this work is to evaluate the effectiveness of Acupoint injection combined with Hyaluronic Acid injection compared with isolated Hyaluronic Acid injection for KOA. ⋯ This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of Acupoint injection combined with Hyaluronic Acid injection compared with isolated Hyaluronic Acid injection in the treatment of KOA, to provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical recommendations.

The outbreak of a novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV)-infected pneumonia is currently ongoing all over the world. The treatment scheme is generally isolation treatment and symptomatic support treatment. While the majority of patients recover from this disease through methods above, COVID-19 Infection severely affect the physical and mental health of rehabilitation patients, as well as their living quality. Thus, meditative movement is needed to improve outcome of COVID-19 patients in recovery period. ⋯ CRD42020210256.

Effect of VTILVOT variation rate on the assessment of fluid responsiveness in septic shock patients.
This study aimed to assess the predictive value of velocity time integral (VTI) of the left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) on volume expansion test (VET) as an indicator of volume responsiveness in septic shock patients. Septic shock patients undergoing mechanical ventilation were recruited. The hemodynamic parameters before and after VE were monitored by pulse indicated continuous cardiac output (PiCCO) and echocardiography. ⋯ The AUC for DVTILVOT in fluid responsiveness prediction was 0.956, and the sensitivity and specificity were 87.5% and 95%, respectively, when the cut-off value was 15.9%. In conclusion, DVTILVOT is effective to predict fluid responsiveness after VET in mechanical ventilation patients with septic shock. It may serve as a new, noninvasive and functional hemodynamic parameter with the same accuracy to SVV.
