The increasing prevalence of obesity worldwide necessitates the provision of support for many patients. Patients with obesity appreciate receiving advice from doctors. Previous studies have qualitatively explored clinicians' counseling for weight loss; however, this is limited to primary physicians or general practitioners working in community health centers. In contrast, Korean Medicine Doctors (KMDs) have treated patients with obesity using a holistic approach with a multicomponent approach on counseling. However, there is currently no data regarding KMDs' consulting practices for weight loss. Therefore, the present study will explore KMDs' experience in counseling for weight loss and describe the constituents of counseling for weight loss in Korean medicine practice. ⋯ Ethical approval was granted by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine (I-1908/006-001). The results will be disseminated via journal articles and conference presentations.

To evaluate the perfusion of coronary circulation and its related factors and the difference in the peak filling times in aortic sinus and coronary sinus by coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA). From January 1 to August 1, 2018, 61 outpatients with angina pectoris were recruited, completed a questionnaire about risk factors and underwent CCTA, which was also used to assess the stenosis of different coronary artery segments. The duration of circulation was 9.50 ± 2.43 seconds in patients with flat T wave, which was shorter than the duration in normal subjects (P = .021). ⋯ It showed that the circulation duration (Y) was associated with:Therefore, the cardiac circulation duration was negatively related to the degree of stenosis in the 1 diagonal and proximal LCA. It compensates for the inability of CCTA to assess circulation at rest simply by determining the peak filling time in the aortic sinus and the coronary sinus. Moderate cardiac microcirculation duration was related to a low incidence of clinical symptoms and electrocardiogram disorders, which was determined mainly by the diagonal and left circumflex branch 1 of LCA.

TGF-β2 is a Prognostic Biomarker Correlated with Immune Cell Infiltration in Colorectal Cancer: A STROBE-compliant article.
Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β2) is an important cytokine regulating immune cell function. However, whether TGF-β2 controls the invasion of colorectal cancer (CRC) by immune cells is unknown. Therefore, we evaluated the expression of TGF-β2 using multiple databases and determined the relationship between TGF-β2 expression and tumor immune infiltration defined by a set of genetic markers. ⋯ Moreover, TGF-β2 was related to the prognosis and infiltration of the tumor by immune cells in CRC patients. The obtained results indicate that TGF-β2 is a critical factor regulating the recruitment of immune cells and controls their infiltration into colorectal tumors. Thus, high expression of TGF-β2 not only facilitates the prognosis in CRC patients, but also may provide a new target for the treatment of CRC.

Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is one of the most common and disabling outcomes in patients with breast cancer (BC). Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) nonpharmacological interventions are becoming increasingly popular for cancer treatment and rehabilitation interventions. However, their efficacy and safety remain unclear and there is no systematic review or meta-analysis focusing fully on this issue. We aim to evaluate the effects of representative TCM nonpharmacological interventions, including Qigong, Tai Chi, acupuncture, and Tuina, on CRF in BC patients. ⋯ The study is priorly registered through International Platform of Registered Systematic Review and Meta-analysis Protocol on October 2, 2020 (INPLASY 2020100003).

Outcome analysis of traumatic out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patients according to the mechanism of injury: A nationwide observation study.
The variation in the outcome of traumatic out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (TOHCA) patients according to the mechanism of injury has been relatively unexplored. Therefore, this study aimed to determine whether the mechanism of injury is associated with survival to hospital discharge and good neurological outcome at hospital discharge in TOHCA. The study population comprised cases of TOHCA drawn from the national Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest registry (2012-2016). ⋯ In the multivariate analysis, injury mechanisms showed no significant difference in neurological outcomes, and only collision had a significant odds ratio for survival to discharge (odds ratio: 2.440; 95% confidence interval: 1.795-3.317) compared to the traffic accident group. In this study, the mechanism of injury was not associated with neurological outcome in TOHCA patients. Collision might be the only mechanism of injury to result in better survival to discharge than traffic accident.
