The World Health Organization announce that novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is pandemic worldwide on March 11, 2020. In this pandemic, cancer patients are prone to become critically ill after being infected with COVID-19 due to special immune conditions, and cannot effectively benefit from the treatment plan designed for normal people. However, only a few literatures report the differences between cancer patients and normal people after being infected with COVID-19. There is no systematic review to evaluate the clinical, inflammatory, and immune differences between COVID-19 patients with and without cancer. The systematic review aims to summarize and analyze the clinical, inflammatory, and immune differences between them. ⋯ CRD42020204417.

To examine the effects of temperature on the daily cases of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD). Data on the daily cases of HFMD in Lanzhou from 2008 to 2015 were obtained, and meteorological data from the same period were collected. A distributed lag nonlinear model was fitted to reveal the relationship between the daily mean temperature and the daily cases of HFMD. ⋯ The cumulative risks of high temperature (20.2°C and 25.2°C) in the total, age-specific, and gender-specific groups peaked on lag 14 days; RR was higher in girls than in boys and in children aged 1 to 2 years than in other age groups. However, the effects of low temperature (-5.3°C, 2.0°C, and 12.8°C) were not significant for both gender-specific and age-specific patients. High temperature may increase the risk of HFMD, and boys and children aged 3 to 5 years were at higher risks on lag 0 day; however, the cumulative risks in girls and children aged 1 to 2 years increased with the increasing number of lag days.

Mirizzi syndrome (MS) is an uncommon condition characterized by common hepatic duct (CHD) compression by an impacted gallbladder or cystic duct stones or adjacent inflammation. To date, a standardized therapeutic strategy for MS has not been established yet, owing to its complex clinical presentation. Thus, researchers still have to develop new optimized approaches to solve this problem. Herein, we describe a patient with refractory MS who underwent a successful treatment by novel hybrid anchoring balloon-guided direct peroral cholangioscopy (POC) using an ultraslim endoscope. ⋯ Our novel hybrid anchoring balloon-guided direct POC may be an effective alternative treatment approach for difficult gallbladder cases, such as refractory MS.

Treatment-resistant depression (TRD) has a high prevalence and can be exacerbated by poor physical health and economic hardships, which have become common stressors during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The therapeutic approaches used to treat these patients are not always available, may be not be accepted by some patients, and often require face-to-face interactions. ⋯ NCT04428099.

Case Reports
Dacryocystitis secondary to neglected silicone tube in lacrimal duct for 10 years: A case report.
Contracture of dacryocyst by an implanted lacrimal silicone tube is rare. This report describes a unique case of secondary dacryocystitis and the contracture of dacryocyst caused by a lacrimal silicone tube that was placed in the lacrimal system for 10 years. ⋯ The findings, in this case, suggest that silicone tubes are safe and effective, and can be placed in the lacrimal drainage system. However, in this patient, prolonged intubation caused chronic inflammation, granulation tissue formation, and dacryocyst contracture. Our findings could inform surgeons to consider the reasonable duration of intubation for treating cases of lacrimal obstruction, in order to avoid unnecessary complications.
