Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
Effects of exercise training on bone mineral density and some health-related outcomes in HIV conditions: A randomized controlled trial.
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection remains prevalent co-morbidity, and among fracture patients. Few studies have investigated the role of exercise interventions in preventing bone demineralization in people who have fractures and HIV. If exercise exposed, HIV-infected individuals may experience improved bone health outcomes (BMD), function, quality of life (QoL). The study will aim to assess the impact of home based exercises on bone mineral density, functional capacity, QoL, and some serological markers of health in HIV infection among Nigerians and South Africans. ⋯ The proposed trial will compare the effect of a home-based physical exercise-training programme in the management of femoral fracture to the usual physiotherapy management programmes with specific outcomes of bone mineral density, function, and inflammatory markers.

In developed nations, ovarian cancer has resulted in the most fatalities from gynecological cancer. Laparoscopy is primarily utilized as the test to diagnose ovarian cancer. Besides being costly, there are surgical risks associated with laparoscopies. At present, clinical practitioners have access to non-invasive tests for diagnosing ovarian cancer. This study aims to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for diagnosing ovarian cancer. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/A6SPQ (https://osf.io/a6spq).

Meta Analysis
Efficacy and safety of pricking-blood therapy for acute gouty arthritis: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Acute gouty arthritis is a joint inflammatory reaction that affects the daily quality of patients. Previous reviews of pricking-blood therapy for acute gouty arthritis have been growing, but a systematic review is not available. This study aimed to systematically investigate the efficacy and safety of pricking-blood therapy in treating acute gout arthritis. ⋯ INPLASY2020100094.

Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has been increasingly applied as an effective revascularization strategy in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). However, recent studies had indicated a higher incidence of depression on post-PCI patients. Acupuncture therapy is effective for depression. However, the treatment effect of depression on post-PCI patients is still not clear. Therefore, this systematic review and meta-analysis protocol is planned to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture for depression in post-PCI patients. ⋯ This systematic review will explore whether acupuncture is an effective and safe intervention for depression in post-PCI patients.

Previous studies have reported that microRNA-203 has an effect on the prognosis of with esophageal cancer (EC). However, the conclusion is remains controversial. Therefore, this study will try to explore the effect of high expression of microRNA-203 on the prognosis of EC patients. ⋯ INPLASY2020110022.
