Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune system disease that mainly affects joints throughout the body, causing joint pain, deformity, and even disability. The use of Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) to treat RA has achieved certain effects, and Duohuo Jisheng decoction (DHJSD) is one of them. But there is no high-level evidence to support this result. The purpose of this work is to evaluate the effectiveness of DHJSD combined with DMARDs compared with isolated DMARDs for RA. ⋯ This study will provide reliable evidence on whether Duhuo Jisheng decoction combined with DMARDs compared with isolated DMARDs is more effective in treating RA.

Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is a potentially blinding eye disorder that primarily affects premature infants. Although a variety of managements are available for ROP, the efficacy is still unsatisfied. Studies have suggested that laser therapy (LT) may benefit ROP. However, no systematic review has addressed this topic. Thus, this systematic review aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of LT for ROP. ⋯ osf.io/3tmnf.

Review Case Reports
Importance of early detection of juvenile polyposis syndrome: A case report and literature review.
Juvenile polyposis syndrome (JPS) is a rare genetic gastrointestinal disorder with hidden and variable clinical features. Early detection is crucial for good prognosis. ⋯ Variable features and lack of family history probably lead to a great underestimation of potential JPS population. It is recommended to perform genetic testing by a multigene panel in individuals who have suspected symptoms of polyposis.

Meta Analysis
Association of interleukin-6 gene polymorphisms with the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma: An up-to-date meta-analysis.
This study was aimed to evaluate the association between interleukin-6 (IL-6) gene polymorphisms and the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in a meta-analysis. ⋯ This meta-analysis indicated that IL-6 -174G>C polymorphism was significantly related with the risk for HCC, especially in non-Italian Caucasian population. No significant association was observed for the correlation between IL-6 -572G>C and -597G>A polymorphisms and HCC susceptibility.
