The European cohort study has indicated about CD74 IgG-autoantibodies as potential marker for axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) diagnosis. However, multiple studies have questioned the diagnostic value of various disease-specific autoantibodies in different ethnic groups. Here, we have tried to assess the diagnostic value of anti-CD74 IgG and IgA autoantibodies in axSpA patients from Chinese Han population. ⋯ The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of IgA autoantibodies were 21.3%, 82.5%, & 67.4%, respectively, while for IgG, it was 27.7%, 81.8%, and 68.4%, in treatment-naïve axSpA patients. Furthermore, weak positive relationship between anti-CD74 IgA autoantibodies and bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index ( r = 0.253, P = .012) and functional index (bath ankylosing spondylitis functional index; r = 0.257, P = .011) was observed. Overall, our study demonstrated little clinical and predictive value of CD74 autoantibodies in the diagnosis of axSpA and its related manifestations, among Chinese Han population.

Different impacts of various tocolytic agents on increased risk of postoperative hemorrhage in preterm labor women undergoing Cesarean delivery: A population-based cohort study.
Tocolytic agents, commonly used for inhibiting preterm labor, pose the risk of uterine atony, leading to postpartum hemorrhage. This study elucidated the effects of different tocolytic agents on postoperative hemorrhage among women in preterm labor undergoing Cesarean delivery (CD). Data from Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database were analyzed. ⋯ Ritodrine was the most frequently used tocolytic agent (80.5%), followed by combination therapy (using more than one tocolytic agents) (8.5%), magnesium sulfate (MgSO4, 4.6%), calcium channel blockers (3.8%), betamimetics other than ritodrine (1.9%), prostaglandin synthase inhibitors (0.5%), and nitrates (0.1%). Barring those using calcium channel blockers and combination therapy, the use of MgSO4 (aHR: 1.43, P = .001), betamimetics other than ritodrine (aHR: 1.71, P < .001), prostaglandin synthase inhibitors (aHR: 2.67, P < .001) and nitrates (aHR: 3.30, P = .001) was associated with higher risks of postoperative hemorrhage compared with ritodrine. In conclusion, CD women with preterm labor diagnosis using tocolytic agents exhibit an increased risk of postoperative hemorrhage and that this risk varies with the use of different tocolytic agents.

The SET nuclear proto-oncogene (SET)-nucleoporin (NUP) 214 fusion gene (SET-NUP214) is a rare leukemia fusion gene. Due to the limited number of samples with SET-NUP214 fusion gene in previous studies, the significance of SET-NUP214 for measurable residual disease (MRD) monitoring in patients with acute leukemia (AL) is still unclear. Our study aimed to observe the dynamic changes in SET-NUP214 expression before and after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT), and analyzed whether SET-NUP214 could be used to evaluate MRD status. ⋯ ROC curve analysis turned out that the area under the ROC curve (AUC) was 0.916 (95% CI: 0.784-1.0; P = .005). In conclusion, SET-NUP214 fusion gene determined by real-time quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RQ-PCR) could be used to evaluate MRD status after allo-HSCT. Patients with positive SET-NUP214 expression after transplantation will have a poor prognosis.

Greenstick fracture of the ulnar shaft following physical therapy in an adult: A case report.
Greenstick fractures most commonly occur in the pediatric population, especially in those under 10 years of age. Greenstick fractures are "extremely" rare in adults. This report presents the case of a greenstick fracture of the ulnar shaft in an adult following physical therapy for a radial neck fracture and ulnar shaft fracture post-internal fixation. Greenstick fracture can occur during physical therapy near the drill holes created during surgery. ⋯ Greenstick fractures occur not only in children but also in adults in specific circumstances. The cortex of long bones may be further weakened by drill holes created during surgery, and fractures may occur during physical therapy. During treatment, physicians, and therapists should pay more attention to the patient who has undergone implant removal to avoid greenstick fractures, especially in the locations near drill holes.

Primary leptomeningeal melanomatosis successfully treated with PD-1 inhibitor pembrolizumab: A case report.
Primary leptomeningeal melanoma is an extremely rare disease of the central nervous system. There are no standard treatment protocols with a poor prognosis in very few reported cases. Immunotherapy in primary brain melanoma has not been successfully applied so far. ⋯ Our report describes durable intracranial tumor response suggesting the efficacy of PD-1 inhibitor pembrolizumab for central nervous system primary leptomeningeal melanoma.
