Gegen huangqin huanglian decoction for children rotavirus enteritis: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Rotavirus infection is the main cause of severe dehydration enteritis in children under 5 years old. It gives rise to malnutrition and even death in children even though there were rotavirus vaccines. However, there is no effective anti-virus drugs for rotavirus, supporting treatments are used in the clinics. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been treating diarrhea for many years. Gegen Huangqin Huanglian Decoction (GHHD)is a classic prescription for diarrhea in TCM. With the development of clinical trials and basic studies, GHHD has been proved that a good curative effect on diarrhea. Therefore, a systematic review is necessary to improve available evidence for GHHD in therapy of children under 5 years old with rotavirus enteritis. ⋯ INPLASY2020100023.

Sepsis has become a global healthcare problem and continues to be one of the leading causes of death due to infection. In essence, early recognition and diagnosis of sepsis is needed to inhibit the transition into septic shock, which is correlated with higher mortality. Many studies have suggested antimicrobial de-escalation as one of the strategies to replace the empirical broad-spectrum antimicrobial treatment using a narrower antimicrobial therapy, especially among patients with sepsis. However, antimicrobial de-escalation therapeutic effects in sepsis remains unclear. We therefore performed the present study in an attempt to assess efficacy and safety of antimicrobial de-escalation therapy in patients with sepsis. ⋯ October 22, 2020.osf.io/93wym. Arthroscopy versus nonoperative treatment of symptomatic femoroacetabular impingement syndrome: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Presently, hip arthroscopy is a widely adopted surgical intervention for the treatment of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI). However, there is insufficient evidence regarding which between arthroscopy and nonoperative treatment is more optimal for symptomatic FAI. ⋯ Despite arthroscopy being associated with significantly superior iHOT-33 scores after 12 months of follow-up, we were unable to discern the difference between the treatment strategies using other scoring methods, such as HOS, EQ-VAS, mHHS, and NAHS. Further studies will be needed to conclusively determine if 1 strategy is superior to the other for treating FAI.

Acupuncture for opioid-induced constipation: Protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Opioid-induced constipation (OIC) is one of the most common complications of analgesic therapy for cancer pain patients who suffer moderate to severe pain. Acupuncture as an effective treatment in constipation has been widely applied. But its efficacy has not been assessed systematically. Thus, the purpose of this study is to provide a protocol to explore the efficacy and safety of acupuncture for OIC. ⋯ The conclusion of our systematic review and meta-analysis may provide evidence of whether acupuncture treatment is beneficial to patients with OIC.INPLASY registration number: INPLASY2020100026.

Craniopharyngioma is the most challenging brain tumor with a high recurrence rate. Some scholars have shown that endoscopic endonasal approach (EEA) can achieve a higher total tumor resection rate and significantly reduce the incidence of complications and mortality. However, there is still no consensus on the surgical approach for recurrent craniopharyngioma. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of EEA in the treatment of recurrent craniopharyngioma. ⋯ International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO): CRD42020199860.
