Sleep quality and mood symptoms in conscripted frontline nurse in Wuhan, China during COVID-19 outbreak: A cross-sectional study.
The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of sleep problems, depression and anxiety symptoms among conscripted frontline nurses fighting coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Wuhan. This study was a cross-sectional study conducted with 100 frontline nurses. Sleep quality, depression, and anxiety symptoms were measured using the Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI), the Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-Item Scale (GAD-7) and the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), respectively. ⋯ Similarly, depression symptoms (OR = 3.24, 95% CI: 1.19-8.79) were associated with poor sleep quality. Sleep disturbance, depression, and anxiety symptoms are very common among frontline nurses who treating patients with COVID-19 in Wuhan, China. Comprehensive measures that involve psychosocial and personal behaviors should be implemented to improve sleep quality and prevent depression and anxiety symptoms.

Cytogenetic and molecular detection of a rare unbalanced Y;3 translocation in an infertile male: A case report.
The infertile male individuals carrying the Y-autosome translocations are seldom reported in clinic. Herein, we described a severe oligozoospermic male with rare unbalanced Y;3 translocation transmitted through 3 generations. ⋯ Our study not only enriched the karyotype-phenotype correlation of Y-autosome translocation, but also strengthened the critical roles of molecular genetic techniques in identifying the chromosomal breakpoints and regions involved.

Poor bladder compliance due to malacoplakia with xanthogranulomatous cystitis: A case report.
Either malacoplakia or xanthogranulomatous cystitis (XC) is a rare chronic infection disease of urinary bladder, which often mimics bladder masses undifferentiated from malignance and results in severe lower urinary tract symptoms. The malacoplakia combined with XC is even rarer in the literature. ⋯ Malacoplakia or/and xanthogranulomas cystitis may lead to poor bladder compliance and video urodynamic study should be considered in patients with refractory chronic lower urinary tract symptoms.

Diagnosis of numerous cancers has been closely linked to the expression of certain long non-coding RNAs. This study aimed to evaluate levels of plasma FEZ family zinc finger 1 antisense RNA 1 (FEZF1-AS1) relative to non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) diagnosis. The level of FEZF1-AS1 in the blood plasma of 126 NSCLC patients and 62 healthy controls was examined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. ⋯ Increased expression of FEZF1-AS1 greatly improved the risk of NSCLC (adjusted OR = 2.42; 95% CI = 1.23-4.76). A significant concentration-dependent relationship was noted between risk of NSCLC and higher FEZF1-AS1 expression (P for trend <.001). Plasma FEZF1-AS1 could potentially be used as a biomarker for NSCLC diagnosis.

This study aimed to explore the combined association between AKT serine/threonine kinase 1 (AKT1) polymorphisms and congenital heart disease (CHD) risk, meanwhile, the role of AKT1 single polymorphism on CHD was also analyzed. In the first, AKT1 polymorphisms were genotyped in 130 CHD patients and 145 healthy people with the way of polymerase chain reaction-direct sequencing. The clinical data and genotypes, alleles between 2 groups were compared by χ test and the genotype distributions in the control group were checked by Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. ⋯ AKT1 rs1130214, rs3803300 polymorphisms are associated with the increased susceptibility to CHD. Environmental factors are found the interaction with AKT1 polymorphisms. Further study is needed to verify this conclusion.
