Pulmonary amyloidosis is a rare respiratory disease characterized by amyloid deposition in the lungs. The clinical manifestations of pulmonary amyloidosis are variable and without specific symptoms. ⋯ This case clearly shows that it is difficult to distinguish tracheobronchial amyloidosis from other diseases with manifestations of cough, dyspnea and chest tightness because of their similar symptoms and imaging findings. Thus, the role of transbronchoscopic lung biopsy and histological examination in the diagnosis of tracheobronchial amyloidosis is very important.

Bilateral pediatric pial arteriovenous fistulas accompanying a giant arachnoid cyst with torticollis: A case report.
Pial arteriovenous fistula (PAVF) occurs when intracranial arteries communicate directly with veins. PAVFs are very rare congenital vascular lesions that are commonly seen in infants and children. Arachnoid cysts are congenital cavitation often filled with cerebrospinal fluid. We present a very rare associated occurrence of bilateral pediatric PAVF and a giant arachnoid cyst presenting as torticollis in a child. So far, this is the first case. ⋯ We advocate that in cases of PAVF with accompanying cyst, the cyst should be managed conservatively if it is not associated with intracranial hemorrhage or focal neurologic deficit.

Lung Cancer is one of the most common cancers with high degree of malignancy, is a devastating disease with a poor prognosis worldwide. prognostic prediction for patients with non small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is still challenge. ⋯ We have detected both tumor mutations and methylated DNA in plasma of patients with NSCLC. Combined genetic and methylated DNA decreasing after treatment was an independent risk factor for prognosis of patients with NSCLC. Meanwhile, it had favorable predict value and had potential to be defined as a novel biomarker for patients with NSCLC.

Gastric cancer (GC) is the most prevailing digestive tract malignant tumor worldwide with high mortality and recurrence rates. However, its potential molecular mechanism and prognostic biomarkers are still not fully understood. We aim to screen novel prognostic biomarkers related to GC prognosis using comprehensive bioinformatic tools. ⋯ GHRL could be used as a novel biomarker for the prediction of a poor overall survival of gastric cancer, and could be a novel therapeutic target for gastric cancer treatment. However, future experimental studies are still required to validate these findings.

Although there are several reports on the effect of herbal medicine on weight loss in adults, evidence supporting its efficacy and safety in obese pediatrics is insufficient. Herein, we clinically investigated the preliminary experience of community-based healthcare program in cases of childhood obesity treated with an herbal complex, Slim-diet (SD), along with lifestyle modification. ⋯ In the present study, we showed the clinical effects of SD with lifestyle modification in patients with childhood obesity who participated in community-based healthcare program. Further clinical studies investigating the effects of SD are required.
