Cervical cancer (CC) is a very common and malignant tumor in female population. Although a variety of single medications are reported to treat this condition, they all have limited efficacy. Previous studies have reported the combination of paclitaxel, carboplatin, and bevacizumab (PCB) can be used for the treatment of patients with CC effectively. With the number of cancer patients growing, radiotherapy and chemotherapy have been a necessary treatment. Unfortunately, there are many side effects after radiation and chemotherapy, one of which is xerostomia that always harasses patients. Although there are many ways of treatment of xerostomia, they have many disadvantages. With the rare side effects and the excellent effect, acupuncture has been widely applied to dry mouth after radiotherapy, but it has not been recognized as the standard treatment. Because acupuncture prescription is mostly different and the sample size of studies is small, we need more high-quality meta-analysis to provide relatively reliable evidence for the treatment of radiation-induced xerostomia. The objective of this study is to assess the curative effect of acupuncture treatment of cancer patients after radiotherapy and provide more reliable evidence for acupuncture treatment of xerostomia after radiotherapy for cancer patients. ⋯ INPLASY202040211.

The efficacy of ketamine in total knee arthroplasty: a randomized controlled trial protocol.
Appropriate pain management is essential to improve the postoperative recovery after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). There is a paucity of literature on ketamine for TKA procedures. The aim of this study was to evaluate the analgesic efficacy of ketamine in patients undergoing primary TKA. ⋯ The results of this study were expected to provide useful information on the effectiveness and safety of ketamine for immediate postoperative analgesia after TKA surgery.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Intravenous versus topical tranexamic acid in lumbar interbody fusion: A protocol of randomized controlled trial.
Questions still remain about the safest and most effective route of administration for tranexamic acid (TXA) in lumbar interbody fusion. As such, the goal of this randomized clinical trial was to assess the efficacy and safety of topical TXA compared with intravenous TXA in lumbar interbody fusion. ⋯ There are several limitations to this study. We did not include a group of patients who did not receive TXA. Another potential limitation is that the study population contains heterogeneity such as varying patient diagnosis and surgical technique/approach. Despite these limitations, the validity of our results should be maintained, as the same methodology was applied to both treatment arms.

Prosthesis-patient mismatch (PPM) following transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is common, but the incidence, predictors and outcome of PPM are still controversial. ⋯ Despite the fact that the incidence of PPM was lower than that of SAVR, PPM was not seen to have an impact on short- and mid-term survival.
