Hemorrhoids are a common and seriously disruptive condition that seriously affects people's lives in terms of treatment. Injection therapy is an effective minimally invasive scheme for the treatment of grade II-III hemorrhoids, but its clinical application is limited by the adverse reactions caused by injection drugs. Some clinical studies have confirmed the efficacy and safety of Shaobei injection as a traditional Chinese medicine extract. However, there is no standard randomized controlled study to verify its efficacy and explore its potential mechanism. ⋯ This study will compare the efficacy of Shaobei injection with the rubber band ligation method in the treatment of grade II-III haemorrhoids and investigate its effect on the expression of fibulin-3 and fibulin-5 in the fibulin protein family. The results of this study will provide a basis for the clinical use of Paeoniflora injection as an alternative to traditional sclerosing agent in the treatment of grade II-III haemorrhoids.Trial registration: OSF Registration number:DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/MKVDB.

Psoriasis can lead to higher social and psychological burden, and its occurrence is related to psychological disturbance. At present, there are many clinical trials on cognitive behavior therapy for depression and anxiety in patients with psoriasis. However, the results of studies vary greatly due to the different time and content of the intervention, and the curative effect is still controversial. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to explore the effect of cognitive behavior therapy on anxiety and depression in patients with psoriasis through meta-analysis. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/APKVG.

Managing job stress among teachers of children with autism spectrum disorders: A randomized controlled trial of cognitive behavioral therapy with yoga.
Job-related stress undermines occupational, personal, and organizational outcomes. Stress symptoms are common among teachers of children with autism spectrum disorders and affect the academic progress of the children. This study investigated the effectiveness of yoga-based cognitive behavioral therapy in reducing occupational stress among teachers of children with autism in Lagos states, Nigeria. ⋯ It was concluded that Y-CBT modalities could help to minimize the perception of stress sources and stress manifestation as well as total TSI scores among teachers of children with autism spectrum disorders.

Fibromyalgia (FM) patients have an increased risk for glucose metabolism disturbances, and impaired glucose tolerance may be associated with symptom severity. Elevated levels of plasma lactate have been detected in FM patients. Both pyruvate and lactate are produced in glucose metabolism and reflect oxidative metabolism. The objective of our study was to analyse disturbances in glucose, pyruvate, or lactate metabolism in FM patients. ⋯ Impaired glucose regulation in FM patients is likely not due to FM itself, but to associated lifestyle factors. Our results highlight the importance of assessing the glucose regulation status and the lifestyle factors affecting glucose regulation in FM patients for prevention or early treatment of diabetes and associated complications.

Epidemics of Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) infection among women are major global public health concerns. This study examined the prevalence of CT infection and associated factors among women attending sexually transmitted disease (STD) and gynecology clinics in Jiangsu province, China. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among women attending STD and gynecology clinics in the province during 2018 to 2019. ⋯ Female outpatients who were service personnel (adjusted odds ratio [aOR] = 1.667, P = .004) or farmers (aOR = 1.593, P = .039), lived in South Jiangsu (aOR = 1.796, P = .004), and were from STD clinics (aOR = 1.608, P = .022) were more likely to infect CT. Our study showed a high prevalence of CT infection among women attending STD and gynecology clinics in Jiangsu province, China. CT screening, surveillance and treatment promotion should therefore be of top priority on the CT prevention agenda.
