Few studies have reported an increase in vitamin B12 (VitB12) levels after bariatric surgery. This study reports the phenomenon and adverse reactions of serum VitB12 elevation 1 month after surgery and explores the possible etiologies. Retrospective analysis was performed on VitB12 data for 112 patients from January 2018 to October 2019. ⋯ Constipation is an independent risk factor for increased VitB12 levels after surgery. High levels of VitB12 may cause some peripheral nerve symptoms. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to patients with postoperative constipation, monitor their VitB12 level as soon as possible, and take measures to improve constipation to avoid some adverse reactions caused by elevated VitB12 levels.

Case report of pure single-port robotic left lateral sectionectomy using the da Vinci SP system.
Since its first appearance in the early 1990s, laparoscopic hepatic resection has become increasingly accepted and recognized as safe as laparotomy. The recent introduction of robotic surgery systems has brought new innovations to the field of minimally invasive surgery, such as laparoscopic surgery. The da Vinci line of surgical systems has recently released a true single-port platform called the da Vinci SP system, which has 3 fully wristed and elbowed instruments and a flexible camera in a single 2.5 cm cannula. We present the first case of robotic liver resection using the da Vinci SP system and demonstrate the technical feasibility of this platform. ⋯ We report a technique of left lateral sectionectomy, without the use of an additional port, via the da Vinci SP system. The present case suggests that minor hepatic resection is technically feasible and safe with the new da Vinci SP system in select patients. For the active application of the da Vinci SP system in hepatobiliary surgery, further device development and research are needed.

The traditional Chinese medicine prescription Suhexiang Pill (SHXP), a classic prescription for the treatment of plague, has been recommended in the 2019 Guideline for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) diagnosis and treatment of a severe type of COVID-19. However, the bioactive compounds and underlying mechanisms of SHXP for COVID-19 prevention and treatment have not yet been elucidated. This study investigates the mechanisms of SHXP in the treatment of COVID-19 based on network pharmacology and molecular docking. ⋯ This study preliminarily predicted the potential therapeutic targets, signaling pathways, and molecular mechanisms of SHXP in the treatment of severe COVID-19, which include the moderate immune system, relieves the "cytokine storm," and anti-viral entry into cells.

To evaluate diagnostic performance of perfusion-weighted imaging in differentiating benign from malignant breast lesions, and the correlation between the prognostic factors/subtypes of breast cancers and the perfusion parameters. A total of 76 patients (59 cases with breast cancer) were included in our study. The Wilcoxon rank-sum test or the Kruskal-Wallis test were adopted for comparisons according to the dichotomous histopathologic prognostic factors or immunohistochemical subtypes. ⋯ Moreover, the Ve index showed better discrimination performance than other indicators in identifying patients with triple-negative subtypes. Similarly, the identification ability came to the highest when combing Kep and Ve. Perfusion parameters on dynamic enhanced magnetic resonance imaging are statistically significant in distinguishing benign from malignant breast lesion, and may potentially be used as biomarkers in discriminating patients with triple-negative molecular subtypes of breast cancer.

The coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pneumonia which is caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS CoV-2) virus is the current urgent issue world over. According to the Health Ministry of Turkey, the first COVID-19 patient was diagnosed on March 11, 2020. Since then, approximately 5.5 million patients have been confirmed to be positive SARS CoV-2 virus. ⋯ Furthermore, 20% of patients were found to be positive using IgG antibody against to SARS CoV-2 virus. Our findings showed that HRCT could be most prominent technique compared to real time polymerase chain reaction for the diagnosis of COVID-19 pneumonia. The novel classification of HRCT findings will be helpful to early diagnosis of the disease, time saving and eventually cost-effective.
