Randomized Controlled Trial
Effects of nasal irrigation after endoscopic transsphenoidal resection in patients with pituitary adenomas: A randomized controlled trial.
We aimed to explore the methods to reduce or prevent nasal complications after endoscopic transsphenoidal pituitary adenoma resection. We also examined the effects of nasal irrigation after this procedure was performed. ⋯ Nasal irrigation helps reduce the incidence of complications such as epistaxis and nasal adhesions in the early postoperative period. It can also promote the elimination or reduction of olfactory disturbances.

Review Case Reports
CD103-CD23+ classical hair cell leukemia: A case report and review of the literature.
This case report is presented to improve our understanding of the atypical immunophenotype of hairy cell leukemia. ⋯ Hairy cell leukemia is rare, and the diagnosis and differential diagnosis should be made by combining the patient's medical history, clinical manifestations, immunophenotype, gene detection, and other means. Purine nucleoside analogs are the first-line treatments.

Meta Analysis
Is rifaximin better than nonabsorbable disaccharides in hepatic encephalopathy?: A meta-analysis.
The purpose of the present meta-analysis was to compare the efficacy of rifaximin and nonabsorbable disaccharides (NADs) in hepatic encephalopathy (HE). ⋯ Rifaximin is not superior to NADs in the treatment of HE.

Review Case Reports
Acute exacerbation of pulmonary toxoplasmosis during corticosteroid therapy for immune thrombocytopenia: A case report and literature review.
Pulmonary toxoplasmosis (PT) is an infectious disease that can be fatal if reactivation occurs in the recipients of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) who were previously infected with Toxoplasma gondii. However, whether the toxoplasmosis reactivation is an actual risk factor for patients receiving immunosuppressive therapies without HSCT remains unclear. Therefore, reactivated PT is not typically considered as a differential diagnosis for pneumonia other than in patients with HSCT or human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). ⋯ PT should be considered as a differential diagnosis in patients with pneumonia, particularly in seropositive patients who receive immunosuppressive therapies even for other than HSCT or HIV.

Multicenter Study Clinical Trial
An open label, multicenter clinical trial that investigated the efficacy and safety of leuprorelin treatment of central precocious puberty in Chinese children.
Leuprorelin is an analog of gonadotropin-releasing hormone that is used for the therapy of central precocious puberty (CPP). The aims of this prospective, open label, multicenter clinical trial were to establish its efficacy and safety during long-term use. ⋯ The trial revealed that CPP was effectively treated in most patients who received leuprorelin for nearly 2 years. Any drug-related AEs were reported with low incidence (<5%) and were consistent with the known safety profile of leuprorelin.
