The vulnerability of adolescents to emotional disorders such as stress, anxiety, anger, depression, and emotional breakdown is a matter of great concern and urgent need. Studies in several countries and regions have reported higher prevalence of depression, stress, and anxiety in adolescents. Several studies have shown that mindfulness-based interventions have an ameliorative effect on both emotional disorders and psychological problems in adolescents. The purpose of this study is to systematically analyze the effects of mindfulness-based intervention on emotional disorders and psychological problems in adolescents, and to provide a reasonable mindfulness-based intervention program for adolescents with emotional disorders. ⋯ The results of this study may provide a strong basis for improving emotional disorders and psychological problems in adolescents.Systematic review registration: INPLASY2021110054.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is one of the common microvascular complications in diabetic patients, which is characterized by progressive development and often leads to irreversible visual impairment. More seriously, DR patients suffer great psychological stress due to impaired visual function and reduced self-care ability such as anxiety and depression, which seriously affect the quality of life of patients. In recent years, various psychological therapies have been applied to alleviate anxiety, depression, and quality of life in DR patients, which have achieved positive results. However, the effectiveness and safety of different psychological therapies are unclear. This study aims to assess the effects of psychotherapy on anxiety, depression, and quality of life in DR patients through a network meta-analysis. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/K8T27.

This study aimed to evaluate the effect and safety of anlotinib combined with S-1 in the treatment of recurrent or metastatic esophageal cancer patients who refused or were intolerant to intravenous chemotherapy. This study retrospectively reviewed 22 recurrent or metastatic esophageal cancer patients who refused or were intolerant to intravenous chemotherapy between June 1, 2018 and February 28, 2019. All patients did not previously receive anlotinib or S-1. ⋯ The main adverse events (AEs) of anlotinib combined with S-1 were fatigue (58.8%), hypertension (47.1%), hemoptysis (29.4%), anemia (29.4%), nausea (23.5%), liver function damage (23.5%), albuminuria (17.6%), abdominal pain (17.6%), leukopenia (17.6%), neutropenia (11.8%), fever (11.8%), and hand-foot syndrome (11.8%). Grade 3 AEs included nausea (5.9%) and hypertension (5.9%), and no grade 4 or more AEs were reported. Anlotinib combined with S-1 achieved promising disease control and satisfactory survival with tolerable safety in recurrent metastatic esophageal cancer who refused or were intolerant to intravenous chemotherapy.

Colorectal cancer has been ranked third among the most common cancers worldwide and raised to the second leading cause of cancer death with nearly one-tenth of cancer-related deaths globally, and nearly half of colorectal cancer patients present with or develop colorectal cancer liver metastasis (CRLM). Buzhong Tiaogan Formula (BTF) has been proven to treat CRLM in our team, but there are lacking of evidence on its effective in delaying colorectal liver metastasis (liver depression spleen deficiency type), so we will evaluate the efficacy and safety of BTF in preventing the occurrence of CRLM. ⋯ The results of this RCT will contribute to BTF for delaying colorectal liver metastasis (liver depression spleen deficient type). And the results from this RCT will be published in a relevant journal after finished.

Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) examination is a well-established technique for this purpose with several unique advantages. It is a real-time technology with high temporal resolution. With its unique ability to detect microvascular perfusion, it helps in better characterization of FLL.[1-4] Three-dimensional (3D) CEUS with quantitative analysis is updated in recent years. 3D-CEUS is a new ultrasonic diagnostic technique, which can observe the nourishing vessels of lesions from multiple angles. Previous studies showed that 3D-CEUS can detect tumor nourishing vessels to differentiate benign from malignant focal liver lesions (FLLs). However, the results of these studies have been contradictory. Therefore, this meta-analysis tested the hypothesis that 3D-CEUS is accurate in distinguishing benign and malignant FLLs. ⋯ INPLASY202150096.
