Electroacupuncture has been reported to successfully control pain. Currently, no systematic reviews of the effects of electroacupuncture on frozen shoulder patients have been performed. This review aims to provide current evidence on the efficacy of electroacupuncture for the management of pain in frozen shoulder. ⋯ Ethical approvals and patient consent are not required because the meta-analysis will be based on published research. This systematic review will be published in a peer-reviewed journal and disseminated both electronically and in print. The review will be updated to inform and guide health care practice and policy.

Nearly half of patients with heart failure (HF) have preserved ejection fraction (EF) and the mortality and morbidity of patients with HF with preserved EF (HFpEF) are high. Patients with HFpEF are often elderly and their primary chronic symptom is severe exercise intolerance that results in a reduced quality of life. Thus, improvement of exercise capacity presents another important clinical outcome in HFpEF patients. Recent randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and meta-analyses of RCTs reported that sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT-2) inhibitors improved cardiovascular outcomes in patients with HF with reduced EF. Although the effects of SGLT-2 inhibitors in HFpEF patients have been examined in multiple RCTs, the results are inconsistent due partly to limited power. The purpose of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SGLT-2 inhibitors in HFpEF patients. ⋯ INPLASY2021120033.

Cough variant asthma in children is a special type of asthma. Although there are many effective cases of combined acupuncture and western medicine in the clinical treatment of this kind of children, there is no standardized acupuncture combined with western medicine to evaluate the curative effect. Therefore, combined with existing reports, a systematic review and meta-analysis of acupuncture combined with montelukast sodium in the treatment of cough variant asthma in children were carried out to obtain conclusive results. ⋯ INPLASY2021110006.

The vulnerability of adolescents to emotional disorders such as stress, anxiety, anger, depression, and emotional breakdown is a matter of great concern and urgent need. Studies in several countries and regions have reported higher prevalence of depression, stress, and anxiety in adolescents. Several studies have shown that mindfulness-based interventions have an ameliorative effect on both emotional disorders and psychological problems in adolescents. The purpose of this study is to systematically analyze the effects of mindfulness-based intervention on emotional disorders and psychological problems in adolescents, and to provide a reasonable mindfulness-based intervention program for adolescents with emotional disorders. ⋯ The results of this study may provide a strong basis for improving emotional disorders and psychological problems in adolescents.Systematic review registration: INPLASY2021110054.
