Hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotypes and subgenotypes have distinct geographical distributions and influence a number of clinical disease features and responses to treatment. There are many reports on the distribution of HBV genotypes, but great differences are present between studies. What's more, a meta-analysis of HBV genotype- and subgenotype-distribution by country is lacking. ⋯ Genotypes G and H are mainly distributed in Mexico. Genotype F is mainly distributed in central and South America, but genotypes A and D are also common in Brazil, Cuba, and Haiti. This study provides a more accurate description of the distribution of HBV genotypes and subgenotypes in different countries and suggests that the differences in genotype distribution may be related to ethnicity and human migration.

Post-stroke insomnia (PSI) is a common and severe illness among the complications of stroke. Although there are plenty of drugs currently used for PSI treatment, they generate several side effects and other problems. Bright light therapy (BLT) is thought to be relatively safe and effective in treating PSI patients. Despite this, there is still a lack of systematic review on BLT in the treatment of PSI. Allowing for this, the aim of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of BLT for PSI. ⋯ INPLASY2021100065.

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common peripheral nerve compression syndrome of the upper limb. Plenty of studies showed the effects of acupuncture therapy on relieving pain and improving functional status for CTS patients. Diverse types of acupuncture therapies have been used in the treatment for CTS, but their relative treatment effects are poorly understood. This study will evaluate the effects of different acupuncture and related therapies for CTS by conducting a systematic review and Bayesian network meta-analysis (NMA). ⋯ This study will provide evidence for choosing the optimal acupuncture and related therapies in the treatment for CTS.

Diagnostic utility of CT for abdominal injury in the military setting: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
It is critical to accurately identify patients with abdominal injury who truly need to undergo laparotomy during the war in timely fashion. The diagnostic utility of computed tomography (CT) for evaluating abdominal injury in the military setting remains uncertain. ⋯ Diagnostic accuracy of CT for abdominal injury is excellent in the military setting. Further work should explore how to shrink CT equipment for a wider use in wartime.

Meta Analysis
Ultrafiltration for patients with acute decompensated heart failure: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Ultrafiltration plays an indispensable role in relieving congestion and fluid retention in patients with acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) in recent years. So far, there is no consistent agreement about whether early ultrafiltration (UF) is a first-line treatment for patients with ADHF. We, therefore, conducted a meta-analysis to assess the efficacy and safety of UF. ⋯ Although UF is more effective in removing fluid than diuretics and decrease rehospitalization of heart failure and all causes, there is not enough evidence to prove that UF is superior because of adverse events and mortality in the UF group. The mean fluid-removal rates should be set to ≥200 mL/h. Patient with different etiology may have different effects when treated with UF and it is a weak conclusion.Trial registration: The systematic review was registered with the International Prospective Registry of Systematic Reviews.
