This report describes rehabilitation for a 53-year-old female recovering from non-healing skin and soft tissue defect after distal tibial open fracture by using platelet-rich fibrin topical repair following an automobile accident. ⋯ Treatment with topical autologous platelet-rich plasma gel Significantly accelerates the healing of wounds, shortens healing time, improves healing quality and reduces scar formation without significant adverse effects.

Observational Study
Influence of aging on the color visual field in humans: A cross-sectional study.
Age-related narrowing of the visual field is observed in the elderly, which leads to reduced cognitive and psychomotor functions. The aim of the present cross-sectional study was to determine the influence of aging on the visual field for color vision in humans, with respect to angular thresholds for object detection and color detection. The subjects were divided into the elderly group (mean 76.1-year-old [70-89]) and the control group (25.2 [18-47]). ⋯ Moreover, angular thresholds for object detection were significantly wider in the control group than in the elderly group (P = .019), but angular thresholds for color detection were not significantly different between the 2 groups (P = .903). The observed age-related changes in angular thresholds for object detection in color vision may reflect an age-related reduction in rod function. Stable cone function might explain the preserved angular thresholds for color detection in the elderly.

Despite the increasing popularity of table tennis worldwide, few studies have focused on table tennis injuries. This study aimed to investigate the injury profiles, including the injury rate, types, locations, and risk factors, among nonprofessional collegiate table tennis athletes in Taiwan. We performed an online investigation among collegiate table tennis athletes of the nonprofessional category in the 2019 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games in Taiwan. ⋯ Playing styles such as handedness and type of rubber used might be associated with the injury. The lower limb was the most common site of injury. These results may provide insights into trainers and coaches for further measures on injury prevention.

Case Reports
Leiomyomatosis-like lymphangioleiomyomatosis: A case report of the colonic manifestation of tuberous sclerosis.
Tuberous sclerosis complex is an inherited multisystemic disorder with manifestations in various organ systems as a result of a mutation of 1 of 2 tumor suppressor genes, tuberous sclerosis complex-1 or tuberous sclerosis complex-2. Perivascular epithelioid cell tumors have been shown to be associated with these gene mutations and include a variety of tumors such as angiomyolipomas and lymphangioleiomyomatosis. ⋯ Perivascular epithelioid cell tumors are associated with tuberous sclerosis and can rarely appear in the colon. Therefore, lymphangioleiomyomatosis should be in the differential diagnosis in a tuberous sclerosis patient presenting with a colonic tumor.

Case Reports
Massive gastrointestinal hemorrhage caused by Henoch-Schoenlein purpura: A case report.
Henoch-Schoenlein purpura (HSP) is a systemic small-vessel vasculitis that commonly occurs in children. Gastrointestinal HSP can rarely progress to gastrointestinal perforation, followed by massive gastrointestinal bleeding. ⋯ Abdominal HSP should be alert to gastrointestinal perforation when using hormone therapy.
