Dichorionic twin pregnancy with sirenomelia and chromosomal anomaly in 1 fetus: A case report.
Sirenomelia is a rare congenital malformation that threatens fetal survivals. The cases in which twin with sirenomelia and chromosomal abnormality have been seldomly reported. We reported a dichorionic twin case in which one twin had sirenomelia, the other twin had a normal phenotype, and they had different chromosomal abnormalities. ⋯ Prenatal ultrasound was responsible for recognizing sirenomelia, and the detailed ultrasound scanning and chromosome detection should be done for the co-twin. The etiology of sirenomelia remains unclear, and genetic detection is also necessary for its pathogenesis research.

Query of Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs) is recommended before prescribing opioids by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to inform clinical practice and aid diversion prevention. Many states mandate prescriber PDMP use; however, little is known about PDMP perception of utility and use among Obstetricians-Gynecologists (OB/GYN), who are the primary provider for most women during pregnancy. This study examined OB/GYN perceptions and utilization of their state PDMP. ⋯ In qualitative responses, reported frustration with PDMPs was evident. OB/GYNs are diverse in their perceptions regarding the utility and purpose of PDMPs. Tailored education is needed regarding clinical utility of PDMPs for OB/GYN practice.

There is still a lack of consensus on the best approach for total knee replacement (TKR). We carried out this present retrospective cohort study to assess the overall safety and effectiveness of a minimally invasive approach without the use of computer navigation in comparison with conventional TKR. ⋯ The limitations of our present research include the inherent limitations in any retrospective cohort research, including the observation bias and possibility of selection.

HERV-H LTR -associating 2 (HHLA2) is a recently discovered member of the B7-family of immune checkpoint molecules that is overexpressed in several types of cancer. The aim of the present study was to investigate the expression of HHLA2 in cervical adenocarcinoma (AC) and the relationship between its expression and clinicopathological factors to assess its use as a potential marker for AC prognosis. This study included 76 patients diagnosed with cervical AC. ⋯ Thus, an improved OS was observed in the PD-L1 expression group (90.7% vs 66.2%, P = .037). High expression of HHLA2 is related to tumor progression and prognosis in patients with cervical AC. Therefore, HHLA2 may be a potential biomarker for predicting prognosis of cervical AC.

The physical and psychological condition of patients with gynaecological cancer has received much attention, but there is little research on spirituality in palliative care. This study aimed to investigate spiritual well-being and its association with quality of life, anxiety and depression in patients with gynaecological cancer. A cross-sectional study was conducted in China in 2019 with 705 patients diagnosed with primary gynaecological cancer. ⋯ Global health (0.337, P < .001) and Depression (-0.144, P < .001) were the strongest predictors of Global-SWB. Well spiritual well-being is associated with lower anxiety and depression, and better quality of life. Health providers should provide more spiritual care for non-religious patients and combine spiritual care with psychological counselling to help patients with gynaecological cancer, especially those who have low quality of life or severe symptoms, or experience anxiety or depression.
