Small bowel adenocarcinomas (SBAs) are rare cancers that have a distinct clinical characteristic and genetic profile. The only potentially curative treatment for localized SBAs is surgery, and treatment options are limited for patients in the advanced stage of disease. ⋯ To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of small bowel adenocarcinoma that has been treated with nivolumab combined with regorafenib. This case highlights the potential efficacy of combining nivolumab and regorafenib in the treatment of SBAs.

Lung cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. Currently, targeted therapy has proved highly efficient in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor (MET) is considered a validated molecular target in NSCLC. Given the low incidence of MET exon 14 skipping mutation, the planning of precision treatment for patients is a clinical problem that needs to be solved. In this report, we present a MET-positive case that benefited from crizotinib and cabozantinib treatment. ⋯ As MET exon 14 skipping mutation is rare in clinical practices, MET-TKIs (tyrosine kinase inhibitors) treatment can boost curative effects and improve prognosis of patients with advanced lung adenocarcinoma. This case report supports a rationale for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma patients with a MET exon 14 skipping mutation and provides alternative treatment options for these types of NSCLC patients.

Hypertensive patients commonly co-exist persistent depressive symptoms. However, these issues are not always identified, especially in primary health care, which may worsen the prognosis of hypertension. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the prevalence and risk factor of depression, and to develop risk nomogram of depression in hypertensive patients from primary health care Northwest China. ⋯ The decision curve analysis and clinical impact curve demonstrated clinical usefulness of predictive nomogram. There is a considerable prevalence of depression in patients with hypertension from primary care of Xinjiang, Northwest China. Our nomogram may help primary care providers assess the risk of depression in patients with hypertension.

Pediatric femoral shaft combined with ipsilateral femoral neck fractures are very rare but challenging injuries fraught with the development of avascular necrosis, coxa vara, and leg length discrepancy. Majority of the previous reports indicated the neck femur fracture was fixed with cannulated screws or/and pins, femoral shaft fracture was stabilized with a plate and screws. However, we used cannulated screws combined with elastic stable intramedullary nails to minimally invasive procedures treat this type of injury and achieved good follow-up results. ⋯ Clinician should carefully check and read relevant imaging data to avoid missed diagnosis. And the internal fixation method described in this paper may be more minimally invasive.

Metastasis of a papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) in the lateral neck is characterized primarily by solid lymphadenopathy, although some cases may rarely present with a cervical cystic mass. We report a case of lateral cervical lymph node metastases of PTMC that appeared as a cystic lymphangioma of the lateral neck. ⋯ This case report emphasizes the need to consider cervical lymph node metastases of thyroid carcinoma in the differential diagnosis for patients with large, multiple, simple cystic neck masses.
