At present, laser is regarded as an effective treatment for macular edema secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion. With the breakthrough of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor drugs in ophthalmology clinical research, the intravitreal injection of ranibizumab is widely applied, but both methods have their limitations, so some clinical studies have combined and applied them together. However, the clinical results are inconsistent and controversial, and there is no relevant system evaluation for the laser combined with intravitreal injection of ranibizumab for treatment of macular edema secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion now. ⋯ Laser combined with intravitreal injection of ranibizumab for treatment of macular edema secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion has good effect, and the research has provided reliable evidence for the use of clinical treatment of the laser combined with intravitreal injection of ranibizumab for treatment of macular edema secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion.

To investigate whether closed-loop systems under bispectral index anesthesia depth monitoring can reduce the intraoperative propofol dosage. ⋯ Bispectral index monitoring of propofol closed-loop target-controlled infusion system can reduce the amount of propofol, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions such as hypertensive or hypotension and postoperative cognitive dysfunction.

Lamaze breathing has been widely used as a breathing training method. Nursing intervention including postural nursing, delivery ball, doula nursing, massage and psychological nursing is usually provided by nurses during labor. A number of clinical studies have investigated the effect of Lamaze breathing training combined with nursing intervention on maternal pain relief and outcomes improvement. But there were some scholars who were against it. ⋯ Lamaze breathing training combined with nursing intervention was effective for ameliorating the process and outcomes of childbirth in primiparae and deserves to be promoted and applied in clinical practice.

In recent years, a number of clinical trials for antibody drugs targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD1)/programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 (PD-L1) have been carried out on recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (R/M SCCHN) and reported promising prospects. To further evaluate and understand the effects and risk of anti-PD1/PD-L1 monotherapy vs standard of care (SoC) in R/M SCCHN, we conducted this meta-analysis of published randomized controlled trials. ⋯ Anti-PD1/PD-L1 monotherapy could indeed reduce the risk of death in R/M SCCHN patients, and provide higher safety vs SoC. Expression level of PD-L1 may be a useful biomarker for selecting patients with better response to anti-PD1/PD-L1 monotherapy.

Meta Analysis Comparative Study
Comparison of clinical and radiographic results between total knee arthroplasties using medial pivot and posterior-stabilized prosthesis: A meta-analysis.
To evaluate the clinical and radiographic outcomes of total knee arthroplasties (TKA) between using medial-pivot (MP) and posterior-stabilized (PS) prosthesis. Does MP prosthesis and PS prosthesis influence the clinical results of a TKA? ⋯ The present meta-analysis has shown that patients with the MP prosthesis have similar clinical results as patients with PS prosthesis. Furthermore, the radiographic results, especially patella tilt angle, were also similar between the 2 groups. Therefore, surgeons should be aware that the types of prostheses are not a decisive factor to ensure successful operation.
