Randomized Controlled Trial
Effect of pelvic floor electrical stimulation on diaphragm excursion and rib cage movement during tidal and forceful breathing and coughing in women with stress urinary incontinence: A randomized controlled trial.
The pelvic floor muscle (PFM) is associated with respiratory function. We investigated the effects of PFM training by pelvic floor electrical stimulation (PFES) on PFM strength, diaphragm excursion, and upper rib cage movement during tidal and forceful breathing and coughing in women with stress urinary incontinence (SUI). ⋯ Pelvic floor muscles training by electrical stimulation can improve diaphragm excursion and breathing patterns in women with SUI.

Case Reports
Identification of an IGF1 mutation (c.15+3G>A) in familial osteonecrosis of the femoral head: A case report.
Osteonecrosis of the femoral head is a common orthopedic disease. Some studies have shown that osteonecrosis of the femoral head is related to susceptibility genes, but there are few reports of familial osteonecrosis of the femoral head. Here, we reported two first-degree relatives with osteonecrosis of the femoral head. ⋯ We found a heterozygous mutation (c.15+3G>A) in IGF1 in this family, which could be related to osteonecrosis of the femoral head. Early genetic counseling and gene locus detection could, thus, prove helpful for early diagnosis of osteonecrosis of the femoral head.

Lactic acidosis is one of the most fatal adverse effects of linezolid, an antibiotic used to treat serious infections caused by antibiotic-resistant bacteria. However, the measures to prevent lactic acidosis have not been well established. We performed a retrospective study to analyze the impact of applying a serum lactate monitoring recommendation policy in patients treated with linezolid. ⋯ However, there was a significant difference in the incidence of linezolid-induced critical illness between the non-recommendation and recommendation periods (3 vs 0 cases, P = .044). In patients treated with linezolid, serum lactate monitoring led to early detection of lactatemia, thus enabling rapid rescue. We recommend regular monitoring of serum lactate in all patients treated with linezolid.

Henoch-Schönlein Purpura (HSP) is an acute small vessel vasculitis. It is the most common vasculitis in children. In majority of the cases, the disease is self-limited. Relapses can occur, in particular during the first year of the disease. There is no consensus on a specific treatment. The efficacy and safety of steroidal treatment in treating HSP is still controversial. Immunosuppressive treatment of HSP nephritis is used in patients with severe renal involvement (nephrotic range proteinuria and/or progressive renal impairment). The literature on immunosuppressive treatment of severe HSP without kidney involvement is scanty. ⋯ In our cases of HSP with gastrointestinal involvement Mycophenolate Mofetil treatment has been very effective. This experience teaches us that immunosuppressive agents may be very useful to induce and maintain remission not only in renal involvement, but in all cases of persistent, recurrent, or complicated Henoch Schönlein Purpura in children.

Primary cardiac lymphoma is a rare tumor, especially a tumor located in coronary sinus (CS). The most common symptom of cardiac tumors is dyspnea, accounting for 64%, followed by chest pain, accounting for 26%. However, the cases with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) as a major clinical presentation are extremely rare. ⋯ CS enlargement may be the cause of SVT. Echocardiography should focus on the CS section to arrive at the right diagnosis.
