Swallowing dysfunction is a common dysfunction after stroke, and its incidence exceeds 50%. Aspiration pneumonia and malnutrition induced by dysphagia not only cause psychological shock to patients after stroke, but also burden the medical payment. Neuromuscular electrical stimulation, which stimulates the cortex and cortical bulb pathways to improve swallowing function, has been one of the emerging treatments for the post-stroke deglutition disorder. These therapy operators require the proficiency in professional knowledge, limiting clinical large sample studies, so there is an absence of evidence-based medicine. The research is to evaluate the effectiveness of neuromuscular electrical stimulations combined with swallowing-related muscle training to treat swallowing dysfunction after stroke. ⋯ INPLASY202110009.

Vitiligo is a common depigmented skin disease in children or adults, which usually causes considerable psychological burden to life and work for the reason that it affects appearance. The conventional therapies, including external 308 nm excimer laser therapy along with oral administration of western medicine, are associated with distinct disadvantages. Notably, traditional Chinese patent medicine (TCPM) exerts a vital part in treating vitiligo. Currently, no existing research has examined the effectiveness and safety of different TCPMs in treating vitiligo among either child or adult patients. As a result, the present network meta-analysis was carried out for the systematic comparison of the effectiveness of different TCPMs in treating vitiligo. ⋯ INPLASY2020120050.

Obesity is a worldwide problem and is associated with multiple negative health effects. Obesity also has a direct relationship with risk of diabetes. Several pharmacotherapy weight-reducing interventions have been employed to prevent type 2 diabetes (T2D) in overweight or obese adults and older adults. However, data with respect to comparative effectiveness are limited. To address this gap, in this study, evidence on benefits of anti-obesity agents for preventing diabetes will be systematically reviewed using a network meta-analysis. ⋯ INPLASY202110104.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) has a high morbidity rate worldwide, but there are no effective treatment measures, which seriously affect people's lives. Previous clinical studies on Tong-Xie-Yao-Fang (TXYF) combined with Si-Ni-San (SNS) in the treatment of IBS have been increasing, but there is no systematic evaluation. This study aims to systematically study the effectiveness of TXYF combined with SNS in the treatment of IBS. ⋯ INPLASY202120075.

Pharmacopuncture is a combination of acupuncture and herbal medicine, which involves the injection of herbal extracts into acupuncture points (acupoints). Pharmacopuncture has become one of the major therapeutic tools used in Korea; however, safety is one of the major concerns associated with it. We aim to systematically review clinical studies on the adverse events of pharmacopuncture in Korea. ⋯ Comprehensive investigation of all types of clinical studies in Korea will provide clearer evidence of the safety of pharmacopuncture. The results of this study will be useful for traditional medical doctors and patients who use such treatments and interventions.Systematic Review Registration: Open Science Foundation (osf.io/umhyz).
