Efficacy of active forced air warming during induction of anesthesia to prevent inadvertent perioperative hypothermia in intraoperative warming patients: Comparison with passive warming, a randomized controlled trial.
This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of peri-induction forced air warming to prevent inadvertent perioperative hypothermia, defined as a reduction in body temperature to <36.0°C during the perioperative period, in intraoperatively warmed patients receiving major surgery lasting >120 minutes. ⋯ Peri-induction active forced air warming is an effective, simple, and convenient method to prevent inadvertent perioperative hypothermia in intraoperatively warmed patients undergoing major surgery lasting >120 minutes.

Hemodialysis is a common treatment for patients with end-stage renal failure. Long-term hemodialysis will lead to a series of complications and reduce the quality of life of patients. At present, routine nursing is only limited to in-hospital patients, whereas continuous nursing is an extension of hospital nursing work, which can solve the follow-up health problems of some patients and meet the health needs of patients in their daily life. A number of clinical studies have shown that continuous nursing can improve the quality of life of hemodialysis patients, but there is a lack of evidence-based medicine. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the effect of continuous nursing on the quality of life of hemodialysis patients through systematic evaluation. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/HZKUA.

The intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) risk of oral anticoagulants/non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) remains largely unknown. Patients who need oral anticoagulants such as aspirin or warfarin often suffer from obvious complications. ⋯ Warfarin significantly increased the risk of ICH in patients taking oral anticoagulants compared with 4 NOACs (dabigatran, edoxaban, apixaban, rivaroxaban) and aspirin. Apixaban is least likely to induce all-cause mortality.
