To explore the influencing factors of prostate cancer occurrence, set up risk prediction model, require reference for the preliminary diagnosis of clinical doctors, this model searched database through the data of prostate cancer patients and prostate hyperplasia patients National Clinical Medical Science Data Center. With the help of Stata SE 12.0 and SPSS 25.0 software, the biases between groups were balanced by propensity score matching. Based on the matched data, the relevant factors were further screened by stepwise logistic regression analysis, the key variable and artificial neural network model are established. ⋯ The logistic regression model performed very well (ROC, 0.963; 95% confidence interval, 0.951 to 0.978) and artificial neural network model (ROC, 0.983; 95% confidence interval, 0.964 to 0.997). High degree of Apo lipoprotein E (Apo E) (Odds Ratio, [OR], 1.535) in blood test is a risk factor and high triglyceride (TG) (OR, 0.288) is a protective factor. It takes the biochemical examination of the case as variables to establish a risk prediction model, which can initially reflect the risk of prostate cancer and bring some references for diagnosis and treatment.

Lumbosacral plexopathy due to pelvic hematoma after extracorporeal membrane oxygenation: A case report.
Peripheral nerve injury related to vascular complications associated with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is perhaps underappreciated. Compared to the well-described central nervous system complications of ECMO, brachial plexopathy and lumbosacral plexopathy have rarely been reported. We report this case to heighten awareness of lumbosacral plexus injury due to pelvic hematoma formation after ECMO. ⋯ Neurological deficits occurring during the course of administration of ECMO require accurate localization. Neurology consultation and/or EMG/NCS may be useful if localization is not clear. Lesions localizing to the lumbosacral plexus should prompt radiographic evaluation with computed tomography of the abdomen and pelvis. Hemostasis of a retroperitoneal hematoma may be achieved with embolization. However, if neurological deficits do not improve, surgical consultation for hematoma evacuation may be warranted.

Researchers divided the pancreas distal to the neck into 2 equal parts as the body and tail region by an arbitrary line. Surgeons considered the part of the pancreas, left to the aorta as the tail region. We performed this study to identify the transition zone of low-density to high-density islet cells for redefining the tail region. ⋯ There is no significant difference in inter-islet distance and beta-cell percentage of the distal part of the body and tail region. Crowding of islets with intermingled microarchitecture begins in the pancreas distal to the aorta, which may be the beginning of the actual tail region. This study will provide insight into the preservation of islets-rich part of the pancreas during pancreatectomy and future prediction of new-onset diabetes.

Gout affects a significant portion of the population worldwide annually. Numerous studies have been reported mainly in East Asia, explaining the use of traditional herbal decoctions for gout treatment. Our systematic review will be conducted to critically evaluate the evidence for the safety and effectiveness of external applications of herbal medicines on gout. ⋯ Our findings will establish evidence for the external application of herbal medicines for gout and will be informative for patients with gout, clinicians, policymakers, and researchers. The results of this systematic review will be published in a peer-reviewed journal and disseminated electronically and in print. This review will be updated to inform and guide healthcare practices.

Peptic ulcer (PU) is a common clinical disease of the digestive system, which can occur in all ages, gastric and duodenal ulcers are the most commonly seen PUs in clinical practice. The main manifestations are chronic and periodic rhythmic upper abdominal pain, accompanied by indigestion symptoms such as pantothenic acid, belching, and nausea. Serious complications such as bleeding, perforation, obstruction and canceration are easy to occur, endangering the life safety of patients. There are many ways to treat PU in clinic, and acupoint catgut embedding therapy has its unique advantages. Hence, our systematic review aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupoint embedding therapy in the treatment of PU and to provide a reliable basis for physician. ⋯ INPLASY202130097.
