Venous leg ulcers (VLUs) are the most common ulcer on the lower extremity, with 4% of patients over the age of 65 suffering from VLUs worldwide. As a recurrent, chronic, disabling disease, VLUs are associated with prolonged disability, substantial socioeconomic impact, and significant psychosocial morbidity. At present, Skin grating is one of the most effective treatments for non-healing ulcers. However, there are still no new studies based on the latest research and new research methods to evaluate and compare the effect of different types of skin grafts for treating venous leg ulcers. Therefore, a Bayesian network meta-analysis (NMA) will be conducted to systematically assess skin grafting efficacy for VLUs. ⋯ This study aims to synthesize the available evidence from RCTs in a network meta-analysis to summarize the best research available and provide consistency among treatment protocols given to patients, resulting in improved efficacy and the quality of care and reduced cost.

Effect of acupuncture on essential hypertension: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Essential hypertension is a risk factor for early cardiovascular disease and is a major preventable risk factor for premature death and disability worldwide. However, some antihypertensive drugs cannot be used for treatment because of their cost-effectiveness or side effects. Non-drug treatments for hypertension include weight loss, salt restriction, smoking cessation, alcohol withdrawal, and exercise, although these methods are difficult to maintain and to achieve. This study will investigate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of different grades of essential hypertension. ⋯ INPLASY202130042.

Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has become one of the effective methods for the treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD). However, it is easy to have in-stent restenosis (ISR), even cardiovascular events after PCI, which affects the therapeutic effects. The incidence of ISR in diabetes mellitus (DM) patients increased by 2 to 4 times. Early identification of the risk factors of ISR in DM patients after PCI may help clinical staff to prevent and intervene as soon as possible, so it is very important to improve the clinical outcomes of DM patients. Although scholars at home and abroad have studied and summarized the risk factors of ISR in DM patients after PCI, the conclusions are different. Therefore, in this study, meta-analysis was used to summarize the risk factors of ISR in DM patients after PCI, and to explore the characteristics of high-risk groups of ISR, thus providing reference for early identification and prevention of ISR. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/WC87Y.

Shoulder pain is a common musculoskeletal disorder prompting many patients to seek treatment. Acupotomy is a common treatment for shoulder which has been widely used in hospitals. But its efficiency has not been scientifically and methodically evaluated. This protocol aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupotomy for treating shoulder pain. ⋯ INPLASY 202130002.

Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an archetypal autoimmune disorder. The conventional treatments for this disease are drugs, plasma exchange, surgical, and so on. However, this disease is difficult to cure. A mass of studies revealed that the external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for MG is a safe and economical approach. The present study conducted a meta-analysis to compare TCM external treatment combined with modern medicine with modern medicine for MG, in order to determine which TCM external treatment intervention has the best relative efficacy, safety, and provide the best evidence for clinical practice. ⋯ The present study provides a protocol that can be used in the systematic review and meta-analysis, with the intent to inform professionals on the external treatment of TCM for MG. These would lead to investigations on the use of the most external treatment of TCM for MG.
