If wounds are infected with bacteria resistant to an empirical antibiotic regimen, effective wound treatment will be delayed. This can delay wound healing and lengthen hospital stays, increasing the costs to patients. Long-term antibiotic use can also result in minor and major complications, such as diarrhea, antibiotic resistance, or life-threatening leukopenia. ⋯ However, it was not statistically different between the ARB and ASB groups (P = .164). In our study the difference in healing time was small when vascularized tissue transfer was done in ARB-infected wound compared with ASB-infected and clean wound. It is necessary to perform surgery using vascularized tissue for the infected wound of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

In recent years, with the development of medical technology and the increase of inter-disciplinary cooperation technology, new methods in the field of artificial intelligence medicine emerge in an endless stream. Brain-computer interface (BCI), as a frontier technology of multidisciplinary integration, has been widely used in various fields. Studies have shown that BCI-assisted training can improve upper limb function in stroke patients, but its effect is still controversial and lacks evidence-based evidence, which requires further exploration and confirmation. Therefore, the main purpose of this paper is to systematically evaluate the efficacy of different BCI-assisted training on upper limb function recovery in stroke patients, to provide a reference for the application of BCI-assisted technology in stroke rehabilitation. ⋯ CRD42021250378.

Myofascitis is a common disease in clinic. The main cause of the disease is aseptic inflammation of local muscles and connective tissues such as myofascial, which can be manifested as paralysis, distension, and other discomfort, local muscle stiffness, spasm or palpable strain-like nodules. Chinese medicine ascribes it to "bi disease" and "Arthralgia disease," while Western medicine believes that the disease is mainly due to local muscle and fascia edema and exudation caused by trauma or long-term strain, forcing nerves to jam and producing pain and other abnormal feelings. Although the disease is not life-threatening, the pain and distension caused by local inflammatory stimuli can affect the patient's daily life and sleep quality. The purpose of this systematic review is to evaluate the efficacy of fire needle vs routine acupuncture in the treatment of myofascitis. ⋯ INPLASY202080034.

Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) is an endoscopic alternative to surgical myotomy in patients with achalasia. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and clinical outcomes of POEM. A total of 20 patients with achalasia who underwent POEM between October 2016 and November 2017 were prospectively recruited. ⋯ The median Eckardt scores were decreased after POEM (5 [range 2-11] to 1 [range 0-3], P < .001), and the 36-item short-form health survey score was also improved significantly after POEM (67.5 [range 34.5-93.9] to 85.7 [range 53.4-93.3], P = .004). POEM is an effective treatment for achalasia, based on the improvement of both symptoms and objective measures. Clinicaltrial.gov NCT02989883.

Infertility causes emotional and psychological problems, including anxiety, depression, low self-efficacy, and chronic mental stress in women. These emotional problems can negatively affect fertility treatment. Numerous studies have reported the clinical therapeutic effects of acupuncture on emotional problems; however, the efficacy and safety of acupuncture treatment for emotional problems in infertile women remain unclear. This protocol aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture for treating emotional problems in infertile women. ⋯ INPLASY202150082.
