Obesity and insulin resistance (IR) are common in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which contribute to reproductive and metabolic abnormalities. Metformin increases insulin sensitivity, but it is associated with unsatisfied benefits of weight loss. Recent studies have reported that glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists improve IR and reduce weight in women with PCOS. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to compare the effects between GLP-1 receptor agonists and metformin, and between GLP-1 receptor agonist-metformin combination and GLP-1 receptor agonists in overweight/obese women with PCOS on anthropometric, metabolic, reproductive outcomes. ⋯ GLP-1 receptor agonists appear to be more beneficial for weight loss and IR improvement compared to metformin for overweight/obese women with PCOS. However, the combination treatment displays comparable effects with GLP-1 receptor agonist alone. The incidence of gastrointestinal discomforts was similar in different groups. However, the quality of the body of evidence is "low." Further prospective RCTs and cost-effectiveness analyses are also warranted to guide GLP-1 receptor agonists to treat women with PCOS.

In this meta-analysis and systemic review, we focused on the effectiveness and safety of anlotinib in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC). ⋯ Our study suggested that anlotinib as maintenance therapy for advanced NSCLC patients is associated with prolonged PFS and OS as well as DCR improvement, but it was accompanied by increased risk of TRAE, such as hypertension, hepatic dysfunction, diarrhea and hemoptysis. Although much effort has been made to clinical trials of anlotinib, further studies are warranted to provide more convincing evidence.

Personality types of patients with glaucoma: A systematic review of observational studies.
To synthesize recent empirical research on the association between personality and glaucoma among this sub-population. ⋯ The extant research could demonstrate that glaucoma patients tend to have some negative personality in some extent. Future studies are needed to provide more convincing support to personality of glaucoma patients.

Association between the peripheral blood eosinophil counts and COVID-19: A meta-analysis.
The conclusions about the relationship between eosinophil counts and the severity of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were controversial, so we updated the evidences and reassessed it. ⋯ CRD42020205497.

Association of smoking with postoperative atrial fibrillation in patients with cardiac surgery: A PRISMA-compliant article.
Cigarette smoking is an important modifiable risk factor for incident atrial fibrillation. However, the impact of smoking on postoperative atrial fibrillation in patients undergoing cardiac surgery remains controversial. We performed this meta-analysis to explore the association of smoking with postoperative atrial fibrillation in patients with cardiac surgery. ⋯ Based on currently published studies, smoking was not associated with an increased risk of postoperative atrial fibrillation in patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
