Abdominal aortic aneurysm is a life threatening disease. Most of the patients diagnosed incidentally because of the asymptomatic nature of this disease. This study aimed to determine the frequency of abdominal aortic aneurysm and evaluate the value of opportunistic screening during transthoracic echocardiography. ⋯ Patients with aneurysm had significantly increased diameters of the aortic trunk (P < .001) and ascending aorta (P < .001), significantly thicker interventricular septum (P < .001) and posterior wall (P < .001), significantly increased end-diastolic diameter (P < .001) and enlarged left atrium (P < .001), and significantly decreased ejection fraction (P < .001). The mostly met criteria for screening abdominal aortic aneurysm in international guidelines was the age of the patients. Based on the results of this study, screening patients over 60 years of age who undergo a transthoracic echocardiography for any reason would be beneficial to detect an asymptomatic abdominal aortic aneurysm in Turkish population.

This study aims to describe the occurrence, severity degree, and correlated risk factors of dental fluorosis among the 12-year-old schoolchildren of Jilin, China. We conducted a cross-sectional, observational, and descriptive study among 960 12-year-old schoolchildren in Jilin. The Dean index was utilized to evaluate the severity degree of dental fluorosis. ⋯ The results of logistic regression showed that schoolchildren who brushed teeth more frequently (OR: 2.012, 95% CI 1.767-2.342), deficiency of parental supervision (OR: 4.219, 95% CI 3.887-4.573), and lived in rural areas (OR: 2.776, 95% CI 2.163-3.489) were more correlated with enamel fluorosis. Moreover, schoolchildren whose mothers or fathers were of high education level (OR: 0.336, 95% CI 0.217-0.413 and 0.346, 95% CI 0.113-0.512) and only child (OR: 0.378, 95% CI 0.213-0.415) were protective factors for dental fluorosis. In the Jilin province of China, the risk indicators for dental fluorosis include rural areas, more frequency of brushing, low educational background of parents, and deficiency of parental supervision.

Admixed phenotype of NEDD4L associated periventricular nodular heterotopia: A case report.
Periventricular nodular heterotopia-7 (PVNH7) is a neurodevelopmental disorder associated with improper neuronal migration during neurogenesis in cortex development caused by pathogenic variants in the NEDD4L gene. ⋯ We successfully identified the causative mutation NM_001144967.2(NEDD4L):c.2677G>A:p.Glu893Lys explaining symptoms overlapping those reported for PVNH7. Symptoms shared with the brother were not explained by this variant, since he was not a carrier of the pathogenic NEDD4L variant. These are most likely not extended phenotypes of PVNH7, rather an independent clinical entity caused by a yet unidentified genetic factor in the family, highlighting thus the importance of thorough evaluation of symptomatology and genomic findings in affected and unaffected family members, when such data are available.

Case Reports
Macular hole with inner limiting membrane peeling off spontaneously in Terson syndrome: A case report.
Terson's syndrome with inner limiting membrane (ILM) peeled off spontaneously is rarely seen, and the mechanism of it is not clear. Here we report a case of Terson Syndrome with a rare finding: the ILM peeled off spontaneously associated with macular hole (MH). ⋯ ILM peeled off spontaneously associated with MH is a rarely seen complication of Terson Syndrome. Due to the large-scale of the ILM peeling off, final visual acuity may be poor in patients, even though successful macular hole closure after the operation.

Observational Study
Pacemaker dependency after transcatheter aortic valve replacement compared to surgical aortic valve replacement.
Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is a standard treatment indicated for severe aortic stenosis in high-risk patients. The objective of this study was to evaluate the incidence of pacemaker dependency after permanent pacemaker implantation (PPI) following TAVR or surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) and the risk of mortality at a tertiary center in Korea. In this retrospective study conducted at a single tertiary center, clinical outcomes related to pacemaker dependency were evaluated for patients implanted with pacemakers after TAVR from January 2012 to November 2018 and post-SAVR from January 2005 to May 2015. ⋯ Twelve (41.4%) patients were pacemaker-dependent after 365 days post-TAVR. Pacemaker dependency did not differ at 6 months after TAVR vs SAVR. In patients undergoing post-TAVR PPI, 58.6% were not pacemaker-dependent at 1 year after the TAVR procedure.
