The incidence of insomnia is very high and seriously affects the lives of its patients. Long-term insomnia can induce other diseases and even cause sudden death. Tian Meng oral liquid is a type of Chinese patent medicine that has been used in the clinical treatment of insomnia and has certain clinical effects. However, its wide application is limited by the lack of evidence-based medical evaluation. ⋯ Our findings will provide a strong basis for the effectiveness and safety of Tian Meng oral liquid in the treatment of insomnia.

In recent years, related studies have revealed that tripartite motif-containing 59 (TRIM59) is related to the prognosis of lung cancer. However, these results have not been proved by any evidence. Therefore, this study evaluated the relationship between TRIM59 and the prognosis of lung cancer by carrying out meta-analysis. In addition, we explored the mechanism and related pathways of TRIM59 in lung cancer through bioinformatics analysis. ⋯ In this study, the application of meta-analysis and bioinformatics analysis will provide evidence support for the study on the prognosis and mechanism of TRIM59 in lung cancer.

Our purpose was to assess pediatricians' knowledge of augmented renal clearance (ARC). We conducted cross-sectional analyses of 500 pediatricians from 16 tertiary hospitals in Anhui Province, China. Pediatricians provided demographic information and were asked questions about their knowledge of ARC, including risk factors, evaluation tools, and the impact on patient prognosis, with a focus on the attitude and practice of pediatricians related to adjusting vancomycin regimens when ARC occurs. ⋯ Regarding the prognosis of ARC children, all respondents chose "unclear."ARC is relatively common in critically ill children, but pediatricians do not know much about it, as most of the current knowledge is based on adult studies. Furthermore, ARC is often confused with acute kidney injury, which would lead to very serious treatment errors. Therefore, more pediatric studies about ARC are needed, and ARC should be written into official pediatric guidelines as soon as possible to provide reference for pediatricians.

Serum levels of SIRT3 and other inflammatory factors are associated with clinical outcomes and prognosis in severe community-acquired pneumonia in adults: A prospective study.
The aim of this study was to investigate clinical significance of SIRT3 in severe community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) patients. This prospective observational research enrolled a total of 114 severe CAP patients who went to our hospital during January 2018 to December 2019. Serum SIRT3 and IL-1β, IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α levels were determined using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. ⋯ Patients with SIRT3 low expression showed remarkably higher expression of CRP, PCT, IL-1β, and IL-6, as well as high SMART-COP scores, higher 1-month mortality rate, and shorter survival. Only SIRT3 and IL-1β were independent risk factors for 1-month mortality in severe CAP patients. Lower serum SIRT3 level predicts poor clinical outcomes and prognosis in severe CAP patients.

There is a similarity of histological features and survival between ovarian mucinous carcinoma (MC) with expansile invasion and ovarian mucinous borderline tumor (MBT). The aim of this study was to compare the clinical outcomes of MC with expansile invasion with those of MBT based on the 2020 World Health Organization (WHO) criteria. A pathological review was performed on patients with MC, ovarian MBT, and seromucinous borderline tumors that underwent surgery at our hospital between 1984 and 2019. ⋯ However, a multivariate analysis for PFS showed that histological subtype, FIGO stage, and adjuvant chemotherapy were not an independent prognostic factor. The prognostic outcome of MC with expansile invasion might mimic those of MBT. These results showed ovarian borderline tumor treatment could be applied to MC treatment.
