Colorectal cancer is currently the third most common cancer around the world. In this study, we chose a bioinformatics analysis method based on network analysis to dig out the pathological mechanism and key prognostic targets of rectal adenocarcinoma (READ). In this study, we downloaded the clinical information data and transcriptome data from the Cancer Genome Atlas database. ⋯ Based on the results of survival analysis, 7 key genes were found negatively correlated to the survival rate of READ, such as MMP14, SDC2, LAMC1, ELN, ACTA2, ZNF532, and CYBRD1. Our study found that these key genes were predicted playing an important role in tumor invasion and metastasis, and being associated with the prognosis of READ. This may provide some new potential therapeutic targets and thoughts for the prognosis of READ.

Acquired neuromyotonia syndrome is a rare form of peripheral nerve hyperexcitability syndrome. It is characterized by spontaneous and continuous muscle contractions. Acquired neuromyotonia syndrome is mainly observed in patients with autoimmune diseases or tumors, but it is a rare neurological clinical manifestation in patients with mercury poisoning. ⋯ Acquired neuromyotonia syndrome is a rare disorder caused by the hyperexcitability of peripheral nerves, resulting in spontaneous and continuous muscle contraction. Mercury poisoning should be considered in patients with neuromyotonia syndrome. Early detection of mercury poisoning can prevent unnecessary examinations and treatments.

Left atrial myxoma with left ventricular myxoma diagnosed by ultrasound examination: A case report.
Left ventricular (LV) myxoma is a rare type of benign cardiac tumor, which may result in unfavorable consequences due to embolism, arrhythmia, obstruction to the outflow tract, and other constitutional symptoms. LV myxoma can be easily misdiagnosed as LV thrombosis. Although some literatures have reported LV myxoma, the echocardiographic features of Left atrial (LA) myxoma with LV myxoma have rarely been reported till date. Here, we report case of LA myxoma with LV myxoma diagnosed by echocardiographic examination. ⋯ Echocardiography can be an effective imaging method for the evaluation of LV myxoma. The combination of echocardiography and clinical symptoms may help to make an accurate diagnosis.

Mucinous cystadenoma is a benign tumor that is commonly found in the pancreas, ovaries, or appendix, but is rarely encountered in the lungs. Worldwide, only a few reported cases of these tumors originate in the lungs. Herein, we analyzed the imaging features of a case of pulmonary mucinous cystadenoma (PMCA). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported case of PMCA complicated by significant infection. ⋯ Preoperative diagnosis of PMCA with atypical imaging and clinical manifestations is extremely difficult. This is the first reported case of PMCA complicated by a significant infection that was misdiagnosed preoperatively as a malignancy.

Several renal diseases are associated with infectious endocarditis. However, there are few reports on patients with granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) associated with infectious endocarditis, and there is no consensus for appropriate treatment. ⋯ We reported a case report of PR3-ANCA positive glomerulonephritis with histological features of GPA associated with infectious endocarditis. Physicians might note this renal complication when they manage infectious endocarditis.
