Baihe Zhimu decoction (BZD) has significant antidepressant properties and is widely used to treat mental diseases. However, the multitarget mechanism of BZD in postpartum depression (PPD) remains to be elucidated. Therefore, the aim of this study was to explore the molecular mechanisms of BDZ in treating PPD using network pharmacology and molecular docking. ⋯ Combining the PPI network and KEGG enrichment analysis, we found that ESR1, MAOA, NR3C1, VEGFA, and mTOR were the key targets of PPD. In addition, molecular docking confirmed the high affinity between BZD and the PPD target. Verified by a network pharmacology approach based on data mining and molecular docking methods, the multi-target drug BZD may serve as a promising therapeutic candidate for PPD, but further in vivo/in vitro experiments are needed.

A web-based self-learning system for ultrasound-guided vascular access.
Ultrasound-guided vascular access is practiced widely. Optimal educational methods have not yet been established. We hypothesized that a step-by-step web-based learning system is effective for self-learning. ⋯ Hence, the web-based system needed formative testing to function as a self-learning system. Simulation education for vascular access is expected to increase in educational content and methods. Self-learning through a web-based learning system is a leading candidate for this growth.

The aim was to illuminate the difference in incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) of gastric cancer (GC) between the United States of America (US) and China. The multiple management was analyzed with stratification to explore an effective survival improvement strategy. The Global Burden of Disease Study data was analyzed to assess GC morbidity, mortality and DALYs from 1990 to 2019 in the US and China. ⋯ The heavy burden on later-onset GC (>70) and potential increase on early-onset GC (<40) needed to be addressed. Combined modalities and single chemotherapy were becoming more widely used over time, however, their uses decreased with age because of poor physical fitness. Our findings provide new insights into management tailoring appropriately to specific subgroups contributes to the increasing survival rate.

A thickened peroneus brevis tendon has been considered to be an important morphologic parameter of peroneus brevis tendinitis (PBT). Previous researchers have found that the peroneus brevis tendon thickness (PBTT) is correlated with inflammation of the peroneus brevis tendon. However, inflammatory hypertrophic change is different from simple thickness. ⋯ A receiver operating characteristic curve analysis revealed that the most suitable cutoff value of the PBTT was 2.51 mm, with 81.8% sensitivity and 81.8% specificity, and an AUC for the score was 0.93. The most suitable cutoff value of the PBTCSA was 10.08 mm2, with 90.9% sensitivity and 90.9% specificity, and AUC for the score was 0.98. Even though the PBTT and PBTCSA were both significantly associated with PBT, the PBTCSA was a more sensitive diagnostic parameter.

The COVID 19 pandemic is far from over, and vaccines remain important tool for fighting the disease. As the preventive effects of the COVID-19 vaccine emerges, it is likely that the perception of importance and safety of vaccines have a positive effect on the acceptance of other vaccines. However, it is still unclear how COVID-19 pandemic has affected the general vaccination perception and acceptance. ⋯ Participants stated that accurate information and cost reduction about HPV vaccine was needed to increase the HPV vaccination rate. During the COVID-19 pandemic era, positive attitudes towards HPV vaccination have tended to increase. To increase the HPV vaccination rate, public efforts are needed for further information and cost reduction.
