In this study, we predicted the core active compounds of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction in treatment of oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy and the related potential mechanism. Corresponding database was used to complete the interaction (PPI) network of key targets and the enrichment analysis of corresponding genmes. Molecular docking of key targets and key compounds was carried out using relevant software. ⋯ The prevention and control effects may be related to its participation in the regulation of neurotransmitter transport, sympathetic activity, and transport. The histological parts of the mechanism are mainly distributed in the adrenal gland, placenta, brain, intestine, and lung, the blood is not specific. According to the prediction results of molecular docking, 6-Gingerol and nuciferin can closely bind to three common key targets.

Acute gastrointestinal injury (AGI) associated with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection has a low incidence of complications in patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Pathophysiological knowledge related to AGI is limited, as few studies have been published on this topic. Therefore, this study was carried out to identify the clinical and histopathological features of patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection and grade IV AGI. ⋯ AGI associated with severe SARS-CoV-2 infection has a high mortality rate and poses a diagnostic challenge in the ICU. The complex pathophysiology and histopathological findings indicate an associated inflammatory phenomenon as the main alteration in the absence of thrombosis, as per the intestinal biopsies of the cases studied. Further clinical studies are required to gain a better understanding of this pathology.

It remains challenging to determine the regions of metastasis to lymph nodes during operation for clinical stage I non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This study aimed to establish intraoperative mathematical models with nomograms for predicting the hilar-intrapulmonary node metastasis (HNM) and the mediastinal node metastasis (MNM) in patients with clinical stage I NSCLC. The clinicopathological variables of 585 patients in a derivation cohort who underwent thoracoscopic lobectomy with complete lymph node dissection were retrospectively analyzed for their association with the HNM or the MNM. ⋯ It was confirmed that carcinoembryonic antigen (>5.75 ng/mL), CYFRA211 (>2.85 ng/mL), the maximum diameter of tumor (>2.75 cm), tumor differentiation (grade III), bronchial mucosa and cartilage invasion, and vascular invasion were predictors of HNM, and carcinoembryonic antigen (>8.25 ng/mL), CYFRA211 (>2.95 ng/mL), the maximum diameter of tumor (>2.75 cm), tumor differentiation (grade III), bronchial mucosa and cartilage invasion, vascular invasion, and visceral pleural invasion were predictors of MNM. The validation of the prediction models based on the above results demonstrated good discriminatory power. Our predictive models are helpful in the decision-making process of specific therapeutic strategies for the regional lymph node metastasis in patients with clinical stage I NSCLC.

Isolated myeloid sarcoma with pericardial and pleural effusions as first manifestation: A case report.
Myeloid sarcoma (MS) involves the proliferation of extramedullary blasts from 1 or more myeloid lineages, replacing the original tissue structures, and these neoplasias are called granulocytic sarcoma, chloroma, or extramedullary myeloid neoplasms. These tumors develop in lymphoid organs, bones, skin, soft tissues, various mucous membranes, organs, and the central nervous system. MS is rare in non-leukemic patients, while MS patient with effusion as the first manifestation is even rare. ⋯ The early manifestations of the patient lacked specificity and were highly susceptible to misdiagnosis. Cytomorphology and flow cytology indicated important directions for the diagnosis of the disease in the early stage. Administration of chemotherapy regimen containing cytarabine could prolong disease-free survival and time before progress to AML.

The adherence to home exercise is generally low despite its well-known effect on knee osteoarthritis. Therefore, we developed a home exercise application, LongLifeSupport, to provide patients with daily basic exercise videos and an automatic recording calendar. We hypothesized that this application would encourage patients to exercise and help maintain their motivation; this pilot study aimed to determine their exercise adherence rates. Using outcome measures, we also aimed to determine the effect of home exercise using this application and the factors for its continuation. ⋯ The adherence rate to the application was over 80%. Participants with knee osteoarthritis showed almost full satisfaction, reduced pain, and improved physical ability. Therefore, the use of this application provided a safe exercise program and maintained the exercise motivation of participants. Thus, it may be useful for unsupervised home exercise.
