Meta Analysis
Aerobic exercises and cognitive function in post-stroke patients: A systematic review with meta-analysis.
To study the effect of aerobic exercise on cognitive function of post-stroke patients, especially to identify specific interventions that the most likely to maximize cognitive benefits of stroke patients. ⋯ Aerobic exercise has a good impact on enhancing the cognitive dysfunction of patients after stroke, which stroke patients were found to benefit the most from moderate-intensity exercise. However, our studies did not found that aerobic exercise had an active result on cognitive flexibility, working memory, selective attention and contention resolution.

With the advancement of prenatal examination technology, more and more fetus with ovarian masses are diagnosed. However, whether such children need intervention measures after delivery, there is no more unified diagnosis and treatment measures in the world. In this study, postnatal data and clinical outcome of fetal diagnosed with ovarian masses were analyzed. ⋯ Children diagnosed with ovarian masses prenatally generally have a good prognosis. For these children, the treatment plan should be developed according to the child general condition. If child with ovarian mass is treated with surgery, the preservation of ovarian tissue should be emphasized regardless of the size, nature, and torsion of the mass.

The etiology of Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD) is not well understood. Genetic studies have established common genetic variants (GVs) that are associated with increased FTD risk. We review previous genome wide association studies (GWAS) of FTD and nominate specific transcriptional regulators as potential key players in the etiology of this disease. ⋯ Using the RELI algorithm, we identified several transcriptional regulators with enriched binding at FTD risk loci (0.05 < corrected P value <1.18 × 10-27), including Tripartite motif-containing 28 (TRIM28) and Chromodomain-Helicase DNA-binding 1 (CHD1) which have previously observed roles in FTD. FTD is a complex disease, and immune dysregulation has been previously implicated as a potential underlying cause. This assessment of established FTD risk loci and analysis of possible function implicates transcriptional dysregulation, and specifically particular transcriptional regulators with known roles in the immune response as important in the genetic etiology of FTD.

Review Case Reports
Development of a values-based decision aid to determine discharge destination: Case reports of older stroke survivors and their families.
Older adults affected by stroke must face a difficult choice between receiving post-discharge care at home or in a facility. This study aimed to develop a decision aid (DA) to help older adults and their families choose the place of post-discharge care based on their values. ⋯ Older stroke patients can use the DA to think through the evidence-based information matching their own values to make a more satisfactory decision. The effectiveness of this DA should further be investigated in clinical settings.

While the extrinsic factors affecting reproducibility of shear wave elastography (SWE) have been well documented, there are few resources assessing intrinsic characteristics of the lesion affecting the reproducibility and accuracy of SWE. In this regard, this study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of measured elasticity and the reproducibility of SWE according to the lesion size and stiffness. Two breast radiologists examined 20 targets of 4 different levels of stiffness and 5 different sizes (2.5, 4, 7, 11, and 18 mm) in a customized elasticity phantom. ⋯ In the subgroup analysis, targets that were ≤4 mm in size showed lower accuracy (ICC: 0.542), whereas targets that were 7 and 11 mm in size showed higher accuracy (ICC: 0.9832 and 0.9656, respectively). SWE shows excellent reproducibility regardless of lesion size or stiffness in phantom targets. The accuracy of measured kPa is high in lesions that are 7 and 11 mm in size but is low in lesions that are ≤4 mm in size.
