In recent years, postponing childbearing has increased the prevalence of pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC). PABC has a poorer prognosis than breast cancer not associated with pregnancy (non-PABC) due to delayed diagnosis and aggressive subtype. Additionally, pregnancy itself predicts a poor prognosis; but, this is a subject of debate. ⋯ In multivariate analyses, patients with PABC of luminal B (Ki-67 ≥14.0%) and TNBC subtypes had worse OS and BCSS than patients with non-PABC. Patients with PABC had poorer prognosis than non-PABC patients after adjusting for several prognostic factors. This difference was particularly significant in patients with the luminal B and TNBC subtypes.

Case Reports
Abnormal uterine position during pregnancy secondary to abdominal surgery: Two case reports.
The umbilical cord is the way to exchange gas, supply nutrients, excrete metabolized. Thrombosis of the umbilical cord leads to fetal hypoxia, which jeopardizes fetal health and can cause fetal death. Umbilical vessel thrombosis, which is rarely reported, is difficult to detect prenatally. ⋯ Abnormal uterine position during pregnancy should be considered seriously, because it can affect the prognosis of the mother and child. When appropriate, a cesarean section is an effective method for terminating such pregnancies. During cesarean section, a longitudinal skin incision may be more beneficial in avoiding secondary injuries. However, the choice of uterine incision should be adjusted for each patient. Care should be given to prevent postpartum hemorrhage.

With the advent of the "Internet +" era, technologies like big data and artificial intelligence are emerging, and teaching models are constantly being innovated. Blended teaching mode combines the advantages of online teaching and traditional classroom. ⋯ The classroom teaching mode was reconstructed from 3 aspects: pre-class guidance, in-class research, and after-class promotion. This model provides new ideas and directions for teaching innovation and curriculum reform in the colleges.

Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is a rare hereditary disease leading to end-stage renal failure in approximately half of patients by seventy years of age. It is important to continuously take tolvaptan to control disease progression. However, adherence to tolvaptan in a real-world setting, rather than randomized controlled trials (RCTs), has not been sufficiently reported. ⋯ In the exploratory analysis, there were no factors that were obviously associated with tolvaptan discontinuation. The persistence rate of tolvaptan in patients with ADPKD in a real-world setting may be lower than that in previous RCTs. Our innovative method, particularly in Japan, to analyze adherence using large claims data should change the way clinical epidemiological research and health policies of rare diseases are designed in the future.

The reference intervals of complete blood count (CBC) parameters were commonly based on healthy individuals aged 20 to 79 years. However, these values are not optimal for correct clinical diagnosis in older individuals (e.g., 80-89 years). Although the reference intervals for this age group have been reported in China, there is no population-based report in Guizhou province. ⋯ The present study provided the local reference intervals of CBC parameters for individuals aged 80 to 89 years in Guizhou, China. Some of our results were sex-specific, and most of our results show lower values while comparing with commonly used reference intervals in China. Therefore, more attentions should be paid to these differences, and accurate reference intervals will facilitate clinical diagnosis and decision-making in these populations.
