Bronchial schwannomas are extremely rare among the benign tracheobronchial tumors and little are known about its epidemiology and optimal clinical management. Here, we report a case of bronchial schwannoma in a young Japanese man and clinical implications about epidemiology, symptom, diagnosis, and treatment of bronchial schwannoma. ⋯ In our review, many reports have come from Asian countries. Bronchial schwannoma can occur within a wide range of age groups and in both men and women. No difference in incidence was observed between right and left bronchial tree. Bronchial schwannoma is sometimes difficult to differentiate from malignant diseases. We should include bronchial schwannoma as one of the differential diagnoses of primary bronchial tumors.

Nasal pressure injury is a serious problem during nasotracheal intubation. We performed this systematic review and meta-analysis to determine whether use of a nasal protection strategy (a protective dressing or a modified fixation method for the tracheal tube) reduces the incidence of nasal pressure injury during nasotracheal intubation. ⋯ The findings of this meta-analysis suggest that a nasal protection strategy significantly reduces the incidence of nasal pressure injury during nasotracheal intubation. During nasotracheal intubation, the use of a protective dressing or modified fixation method for the tracheal tube can prevent to the incidence of nasal pressure injuries. However, the number of samples in our meta-analysis was too small for TSA and further studies are required.

Review Case Reports
Syphilitic osteomyelitis in a patient with HIV and cognitive biases in clinical reasoning: A case report.
Diagnosing multifactorial, multidimensional symptoms unexplained by presumptive diagnosis is often challenging for infectious disease specialists. ⋯ In cases of idiopathic multiple bone lesions, syphilis must always be ruled out, and clinicians should guard against cognitive pitfalls when diagnosing rare diseases.

Meta Analysis
Effect of erbium family laser etching on shear bond strength of enamel surfaces: A meta-analysis-PRISMA.
Recently, laser etching has appealed to people's attention. It is meaningful to compare the effect of erbium-doped yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Er:YAG) and erbium-chromium; yttrium-scandium-gallium-garnet (Er,Cr:YSSG) laser etching parameters with acid etching on bond strength of enamel surfaces. As far as we know, there still remains no related meta-analysis. To evaluate the efficacy of Er:YAG and Er,Cr:YSSG lasers etching on shear bond strength (SBS) of brackets bonded to enamel. The meta-analysis was performed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses, conducted with literature search. ⋯ Our data indicated that erbium lasers may be considered bonding of brackets to enamel instead of acid etching bonding to enamel.

Protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) played different role in different solid tumors, and was associated with the prognosis of solid tumors. However, the roles existed controversy. This meta-analysis was performed to determine whether PTP1B was relevant to the prognosis of solid tumors. ⋯ High PTP1B expression is significantly associated with later clinical stage of solid tumors. The high expression of PTP1B is remarkably correlated with poor OS in colorectal carcinoma, only. There is no definite conclusion that PTP1B was, or not associated with DFS and OS of solid tumors because of heterogeneity and publication bias. Whether PTP1B can be used as a biomarker for predicting the prognosis of solid tumors needs further study.
