Lumbar disc herniation (LDH) is a common disease, which can cause low back pain, sciatica, and even disability. The treatment of LDH is a global challenge. Conservative therapy with non-drugs is considered to be the first choice for patients with LDH. In recent years, an increasing number of systematic reviews and meta analyses on Daoyin and massage interventions in lumbar disc herniation have been implemented. However, the evidence quality and methodological quality of these systematic reviews/meta analyses are unknown and need to be systematically evaluated. This overview aims to systematically summarize and critically appraise the current evidence on Daoyin and massage for LDH. ⋯ INPLASY202210019.

The study aims to evaluate the characteristics, treatments, and incidence rates of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) and tenosynovitis in women with breast cancer, according to the hormone therapy used. We retrospectively reviewed women with breast cancer identified from the clinical data warehouse of the six hospitals in Korea, from January 2015 to August 2020. Among them, patients with CTS or tenosynovitis were reviewed in terms of disease status and treatments. ⋯ More than half of the CTS and tenosynovitis occurred within 12 months after hormone commencement. The incidence and disease characteristics of CTS and tenosynovitis differed among the groups depending on the type of hormone therapy received. Our findings will help clinicians understand clinical courses and treatments for CTS and tenosynovitis in breast cancer patients.

Hand-foot-mouth is a viral infectious disease characterized by fever, hand foot rash and oral mucosal herpes caused by a variety of enteroviruses. It is often found in preschool children, and its immune system is not well developed, so it is very susceptible to infection by pathogens and epidemics, resulting in rapid progress of the disease. At present, the commonly used Chinese patent medicine oral liquid in our country has good clinical efficacy of antiviral, antibacterial, antiphlogistic and improving immunity, but there is no evidence to compare the clinical efficacy and safety of a variety of oral liquid of Chinese patent medicine. Therefore, this study is aim to use the network meta-analysis to integrate the clinical relevant evidence of direct and indirect comparative relationship, and to conduct quantitative comprehensive statistical analysis and sequencing after the aggregation of different Chinese patent medicine oral liquid with the same evidence body, and then the best clinical medication scheme is selected, which can provide reference value and evidence-based theoretical evidence for clinical optimization of drug selection. ⋯ INPLASY202210032. The radiographic assessments of spino-pelvic compensation using IoT-based real-time ischial pressure adjustment.
In malalignment syndrome, the spino-pelvic alignment correction with foot orthotics can be applied only to a standing position in the coronal plane. Considering the fact that the average time Koreans spend sitting in a chair is 7.5 hours per day, studies on spino-pelvic correction in sitting position is needed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the pressure changes and radiographic assessment of spino-pelvic alignment using a chair equipped with a height-adjustable seat-plate. ⋯ The radiographic results of pelvic imbalance compensation during seated show a statistical improvement of average SHD (from −0.9 to −0.8 mm, P = .005) and average ICHD (from 9.5 to 2.5 mm, P = .037). For a standing posture after use of smart chair, average SHD value (−3.0 to −1.0 mm, P = .005), ICHD (from 1.8 to 0.8 mm, P = .016), and average LLD value (0.8–0.1 mm, P = .033) were statistically significant improved. Spine-pelvic malalignment can be improved by individually customized pelvic compensation using balanced seat plate height adjustments under the real-time pressure sensing and monitoring on the buttocks while seated.

Depression is a commonly occurring and recurrent mental disorder cross the world. Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese mind-body exercise which could be used to treat mental disorders including depression. This study aimed to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the efficiency of Tai Chi for patients with depression. ⋯ The current review will provide new evidence on whether and to what extent patients with depression can benefit from Tai Chi practice.Registration number: DOI: 10.17605/OSF.IO/AUDNQ (https://osf.io/audnq).
